Steve Blow, greeter outside and Brian at service desk We have chosen to remain at Fred Anderson Toyota where the previous owner of our handicap accessible Sienna was serviced rather than going to a compet We have chosen to remain at Fred Anderson Toyota where the previous owner of our handicap accessible Sienna was serviced rather than going to a competitor 5 miles from our home in Durham. That is because we have been welcomed so kindly and service has been excellent in the past. The first person I met today who exemplified this feeling was Steve Blow. He was professional and very friendly. I was 15 minutes late for my 35,000 mile chechup appointment, but, Steve said that was not a problem. I pointed out 3 concerns and he wrote up the issues in detail. He was so courteous, personable, and answered my questions patiently and politely. What a great way to enter the office to begin my 3 hour wait while I caught up on paperwork.. However, the next person he introduced me to, Brian, was quite the opposite. I found him to be loud, cocky, impatient and negative. When I asked him questions pertaining to my van, the shuttle service, the different car washes they provide (I wanted the $29.95 choice), and approximate time I might be there, all his answers were discouraging, esp the car wash I wanted to purchase. I commented to him on how discouraging and negatively he spoke and he said he was just telling me what was true. I wondered if maybe I should reconsider Mark Jacobson's Toyota instead, except for the fact that Brian is the only employee that has represented himself and Fred Anderson Toyota so poorly.. More

My wife is picky and it took a long time Our salesman, Ed Bartley, was very friendly no high pressure. Their ad on their webpage said 14,200 miles and that is what was put on all the paperwork. Driving home we looked at the odometer and it said 22,000 miles. My wife was livid. She is type high-strung. We went back the next day and they blamed whoever put the ad together. They fell all over themselves trying to make things right with the customer. The sales manager, Dan Shank, reduced the price by $1000 so paperwork was done all over again. The car needed 2 new tires but to keep my wife happy (really difficult to do) they put on 4 new tires. We are looking forward to the 28 mpg this car is s'posed to get. More

They also broke one of the shrader valves and so I had to pay them to fix it and install a new TP sensor...not happy about the $200 I paid for them to break it. Now the rear tires are hopping a little so have it back in the shop for another 4-5 hours while they scratch their heads. Just replace the rear tires for sake. Not rocket science. Not happy about not getting a call back and don;t want this rental either. Thats why I have a Tundra and not a Rav4, More
Strangest Car Shopping Experience Ever We went here to look at a used truck. After my husband test drove the truck, he was changing our baby's diaper while I went inside to discuss the numbers with the salesperson. Our salesperson asked what we would offer on the truck. After giving him the number, he came back with some papers and said they were priced below market on the truck. After a very brief discussion, he basically said they were unwilling to move from the list price AT ALL, stood up, shook my hand and told me to have a nice day. What car dealer in America doesn't negotiate on price? We ended up getting a truck with more features for $2,800 lower from another dealership two days later. Way to blow a sale, guys. More

Deceptive & Unstable Offers Be prepared for the sales person to change the offer last minute by saying that the car is not available and increasing the price. The reason for the Be prepared for the sales person to change the offer last minute by saying that the car is not available and increasing the price. The reason for the price increase is not true - like getting it from out of network (even as they work with their Sanford dealership for the same car). And then we heard that the manager won't reduce the price. No care for the customer after they have wasted your time on an offer that won't stick. And they will not even care to present you with options. Negotiation is terrible - the sales person mentions a range he can work with you on but comes back with a higher one from his manager while you wait at his desk. Unpleasant experience. More
Internet Price - It is not true The website shows ever most of inventory. Once we walk-in to the dealer, simply they say it is sold. I don't think why they are misguiding customers. I was immediately greeted by friendly employees and put in touch with a sales rep. Unfortunately the sales rep couldn't provide me with the information I requested. As I exited the dealership, I was stopped by the finance manager who offered to help me. He provided the information I was looking for and even offered a great deal for my earlier trouble. But then I had to wait 4 hours to sit down with the finance officer to sign the paperwork. They did not have the vehicle I wanted on the lot, so they agreed to order the vehicle I wanted from a nearby dealer. The vehicle arrived in a few days and when I went to pick it up, I noticed their was a dent in the door and that my "new" car already had 500 miles on it. The dealership offered to fix the dent on another day, which I agreed. I returned and had the dent fixed and left the dealership. 3 weeks later I receive a call from the dealership notifying me that they mixed up the VIN numbers on my vehicle and I had to return to the dealership again to re sign the paperwork. The next day I received yet another call advising that they mixed up the price they listed for my trade in and once again I had to return to the dealership to re sign more paperwork. I had to make 4 additional trips to the dealership to fix the mistakes made my the dealership. The price was not worth all the frustration with the dealership. More
