TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF My boyfriend and I purchased a vehicle back in Oct.. 2017. 24 hours after we purchased the vehicle, my boyfriend's promotion that he received from wor My boyfriend and I purchased a vehicle back in Oct.. 2017. 24 hours after we purchased the vehicle, my boyfriend's promotion that he received from work was rescinded and his salary dropped drastically. Trying to stick it out for a few months, he e-mailed Ray Robinson in January asking for any kind of help and finding out I am being deployed in the US Army. We were told in a lot of words, no, because the loan was too new. So, my boyfriend accepted this and tried harder. He is a 9-1-1 Dispatcher and an EMT. Always putting others before himself. For the past few months, he has been trying to settle this with Freehold Hyundai through Corporate and the GM, Ondra Mayfield. Last night, we decided to look at the contract and see how bad it is. We were OVER CHARGED/RIPPED OFF from the very beginning. A car that was supposed to be heavily discounted because it was a loaner car/parts runner/car for service...was OVER CHARGED by more than $2,000. Yes, we did have some equity because he was trying to help his mother out. But, nothing that couldn't have been adjusted. After trade in value and a cash down payment, the remaining equity was $3,000 (and change). I've have seen and heard of A LOT worse. According to other reviews on here and other Hyundai Dealerships, this is not the first horror story that has came out of Freehold Hyundai. But, being that I was an employee AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE, I recommended my boyfriend to come and speak with Freehold Hyundai. Big mistake obviously. If anyone would take my advise, it would be to STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. We were ripped off and the GM has no intention on trying to make things right or even attempt to speak. We have multiple e-mails to him and Corporate for proof. More
