My name is Frank Decker, I'm a retired law enforcement and I purchased about twenty (20) plus new vehicles in my lifetime. My family also enjoys purchasing and leasing new vehicles. Hyundai has improved over the years, and our family was considering becoming steady buyers. My Daughter and wife were considering in purchasing the GENESIS, they love the style and comfort of the GENESIS, but after this experience we decided not to go forward because this was the worst experience I ever had in purchasing a new vehicle. There were inaccurate statements made as to the features, rates and more during the purchase negotiation. I originally wanted the Tuson Hybrid; we test drove this vehicle and really loved it. The salesperson during the purchase told me that you don't save any money on a Hybrid unless you drive over 18000 miles a year. This changed my mine. With all said and done, I felt pressured, and the store was closing for the night. This was the worst experience I ever had with a purchase. Also, when I got the vehicle, there were unknown brown spots on the frame. Hyundai tried fixing using unknow solution but after two days they returned. Then two days after having the vehicle I located ants in the truck. The Vehicle must have been parked under an ant hill. It took me two days to clean out. It came to a point a did not want the vehicle. No one told me I could trade in within three days. I would have in a heartbeat. There was something fishy. I know salespeople sometimes get incentives for selling certain vehicles. Not saying this was the case. But a thought. I called the General Manager Mr. Martinez. Mr. Martinez understood and was sympathetic. I told him I did not want this vehicle, I wanted the Hybrid, the Vehicle I originally wanted when I went into the Hyundai Dealership, I even gave him the VIN # of the vehicle I wanted. One of the reasons I didn't get the Hybrid was that the salesperson during the purchase told me that you don't save any money on a Hybrid unless you drive over 18000 miles a year. Mr. Martinez did try and help. He gave me a price for a trade in to get the Hybrid but I declined after doing the numbers. I would have been losing $5,000.00 in the transaction. Again, this was a nightmare. Right now, I'm making it a point. Once a week, through social media, telling my story. I have already turned three people away from going to Freehold Of Hyundai, and one person, (Not family member) from purchasing a Hyundai.
