Having g Thomas Bastidas was extremely helpful in all facets of buying a new car. It was my first car buying experience and it was a really great one. Having gone to other dealerships prior and having a poor experience overall, I wasn't expecting much different from Freehold Hyundai but I was extremely surprised at how helpful and kind everyone was in all ways. The employees treated us like people rather than just dollar signs which is truly invaluable. They were empathetic to us trying to be cost effective and our reasons for doing so. He was able to talk his managers down a lot on the price as well to help us out as much as he possibly could. He even came to our house the day after to help us get the remainder of our stuff from the previous car. All around an extremely pleasant experience. And as quick as it could reasonably be! Thank you so much Tom! More

The dealership made the negotiation for the price point challenging, especially after noting that I am a "unit" for Dec. Month End and 2016 Year End. I have used this dealership for the Service Dept for years but not without it's challenges. However, overall the dealership is the best for Hyundai in the area. More

I picked up the vehicle at night later to find out the interior was brown with a black exterior. Less than 48 hrs later I contacted the dealer because my wife and I were unhappy with the color combination. After going back and forth with our unprofessional dealer we were finally able to get a new vehicle. I had to make several trips to the dealership which is in a different state, I live in NY and the dealership is in NJ. I was only given one key fob when I received the new vehicle and after going back to update the paperwork with the new vehicle's info the finance person accidentally held onto the second key fob. I then had to go back again for it. As I was nearing my payment due date I logged into the HMF website but it wasn't updated with the new vehicle info. I called HMF directly and was told the dealership did not send the vehicle info to them even though it was almost a month since I had gotten the truck. I had to call the finance dept 3 times before giving my credit card info over the phone to make the payment. My temporary registration expired on 12/22 but I didn't receive the new one until after that date so couldn't use the car during that time to avoid getting a ticket. When I finally received the new registration there were also new license plates when I specifically told the dealership I just wanted to transfer over my old plates. I now have to go to the DMV and surrender the old Plates and go to EZ Pass to update the plate # with them as well. More of my time wasted. Nothing about this lease process has been smooth and I would definitely not get any other cars from Freehold Hyundai in the future. I will also be sure to tell my friends and fam to stay away as well. More

10, 10, 10! This is the second time that I purchased a car from Freehold Hyundai. I was very pleased the first time, and just as pleased the second time. Steve Ci This is the second time that I purchased a car from Freehold Hyundai. I was very pleased the first time, and just as pleased the second time. Steve Cirillo is a great guy and worked within mine and my fiance's needs to get us into two great cars. We are both thrilled with our early Christmas gifts, and the customer service we received from Steve and the rest of the Freehold Hyundai team (Ralph Martinez, specifically). Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year! More
Didnt accept the true car guaranteed savings The reason i didnt give it 1 star was because they were polite and professional, however they had the Typical car salesman attitude. Its all about th The reason i didnt give it 1 star was because they were polite and professional, however they had the Typical car salesman attitude. Its all about the sale numbers. Went to this dealer looking for a sonata, test drove an SE and Sport. The sport felt like a wheel baring was broken. It Looks like however it was that particular car because the SE was fine. Sat down and they generated a quote which was wasnt even a quote of an asking price. Just showed the msrp and dealer cost which I doubt was accurate. The current 2500 in rebates were on the bottom of the page and not included in final figure. I guess they assume the typical buyer cant do simple math. So I showed them a true car certificate for guaranteed savings from another dealer in staten island. They pretty much said it was Phoney. I have to admit it was a discount was pretty high. Problem was, however, they never even tried to earn my business. They basically laughed and said go to the other dealer. They also said I would be back. Really??? Not with that attitude not to mention they never really quoted me a price on the car. Next day I contacted DCN Hyundai and talked to the true car manager. He assured me that he could work with this number if i came down. Being skeptical of all dealers i read all of the terrible reviews about this place and called him out on it. He said they are under new management now and those reviews were during the previous management. He also promised that he do his best to earn my business. So I agreed and came in. When i arrived they gave me all of the assurances that they will give me a good deal. I was a little Leary and tried to keep my guard up. So I test drove the sport with no issues. Sat down and started to talk numbers. I did my homework and so i was well prepared. I sure it would have been a much different story if i hadn't. The Bottom line was i made my case and I believe I got a great deal. But as buyers we really dont know for sure. I must give kudos to DCN Hyundai for working hard to earn my business. They did go far out of their way to try to make me happy and at the same time make a profit. They certainly earned my consideration for the next round whether that be sales or service. I just hope they continue to work as hard to keep my business. More
