MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS ON THEIR WEBSITE! "All preowned vehicles are subject to a $995 Internet Fee" & also "Must finance through dealer to receive Internet price." Seriously? I've seen probably 5 preowned vehicles are subject to a $995 Internet Fee" & also "Must finance through dealer to receive Internet price." Seriously? I've seen probably 50+ dealer sites in the last few months & this is the 1st time I've seen something like that....wow! so every (used) car actually costs $1000 more than the listed price. These are the type of sneaky tactics that keep people away. i 1st dealt w/ freehold hyundai in '04 when i purchased an '02 santa fe. That salesman dragged the sale out over DAYS. the biggest time consumer was his CONSTANT walking away for ungodly amounts of time. i was probably 1 of the lucky few. only because i walked in there saying i have $12000 cash (borrowed from dad), i need a decent car for $12000 out the door. i dont have a penny more. thankfully there wasnt much back & forth with the price and fees, etc. i paid them a visit about a month ago. not to buy anything...just to see if my family would be comfortable in an accent. they had NO used accents. but they had a used elantra, not what i asked for, not interested. had the PUSHIEST sales guy. made us sit in it, wouldnt shut up about it. all i kept sayin was i dont like it, its not what i want, its too big. its actually a beautiful car & i loved it, but we cant afford it. so i tried to say things that he just couldnt have a comeback for. (cant make me like it, cant change the size of it, etc.). just wanted to get the xxxx outta there. threw his card away immediately, otherwise i wish i could've put his name in here. i now know how important it is to read a name of who to avoid when going to a dealer. since then i've been to many other dealerships encountering pretty much only decent sales people. if you enjoy old school sneaky underhandedness and get a kick out of arguing it out, then this may be one of the last places left for you. i ran like the place was on fire & never returned. only reason i'm here now adding this review is that my friend found a car there and plans to go back with her dad. i went to the site to see the car she wants and was shocked to see that $995 internet fee. some things never change. I have not shopped for a car in quite a while...what a pleasant surprise! I explain to my salesman, Morris, what type of a used car I was looking for. Within 10 minutes, Morris had the perfect car for m pleasant surprise! I explain to my salesman, Morris, what type of a used car I was looking for. Within 10 minutes, Morris had the perfect car for me. He sold me the type of car I was looking for at a reasonable price, while being rather low-key, yet attentive and personable. Then because it is a busy dealership, Ralph came by to save me from waiting for one of the finance guys....he took care of the paperwork, instead of me having to wait around. I love Freehold Hyundai....Morris and Ralph---you made my car buying experience a very positive one!! Thank you. More
We were very pleased with Kevin as our sales rep. He was personable, he listened to what we wanted and helped us to stay within the payment range we wanted. He has followed up with us as well. There shou personable, he listened to what we wanted and helped us to stay within the payment range we wanted. He has followed up with us as well. There should be some work done with the time it takes to finance the vehicles. We were there for quite some time waiting to get into the finance office. In today's world there should be no reason to use carbon paper. More
Avoid this dealer like the plague. They will use unscrupous sales tactics and you have to force yourself out the door once you make contact with a salesmen. They will promises you things, double-te unscrupous sales tactics and you have to force yourself out the door once you make contact with a salesmen. They will promises you things, double-team you and make promises and then reneg on their promises. They give you one free oil cahnge. Lester-Glenn provides free oil changes for so long as you own or lease a Hyundai from them. Go to another dealer, like Circle Hyundai or Lester Gleenn and avoid an unpleasant experience at Freehold Hyundai. Trust me, I have had pleasant sales experiences with the other named dealers and do not work for either of them and have not relation to Hyundai- USA. Simply put, I own or lease three Hyundai cars in my family. More
I can't say enough about the professionalism, integrity and competence of my sales consultant, Kevin Burwell. If you're looking for a "straight shooter" you can trust for your car buying experience, talk and competence of my sales consultant, Kevin Burwell. If you're looking for a "straight shooter" you can trust for your car buying experience, talk to Kevin. I also commend Freehold Hyundai's sales managers for behaving responsibly and respecting my wishes not to be oversold on extras and for sticking to our price agreement even though miscommunications may have been made at certain points. My 2013 Sonata is beautiful and a tremendous value, with top of the class safety, anti-smog and fuel economy ratings. You can't go wrong by going to Freehold Hyundai. Alex More

Just bought a beautiful pre-owned certified Hyundai Elantra 2012 yesterday and wow, what a deal! I walked in just looking to test drive a couple of cars and see what pricing options I had and I ended u Elantra 2012 yesterday and wow, what a deal! I walked in just looking to test drive a couple of cars and see what pricing options I had and I ended up getting the deal of the year! My salesman, Jim Sheridan, was wonderful and very personable. If you're looking to buy a Hyundai go see him! Everyone was super friendly and accomodating - I was helped right away and asked if I wanted anything to drink and I got a big cup of cold filtered water - great perk in the summer time! With all that said, I'd like to offer another thanks to all the guys that made this car happen for me - Jim Sheridan, Aaron Brown, Ralph (Martinez? Johnson?)and all the other guys who helped me out. I was literally at the dealership for about 5 hours but they were all determined to find what was right for me in terms of price and style. I initially came in to just test drive and compare prices and I ended up driving home with the perfect car for me. So, thanks again guys! I love my car!! Oh, and of course, hitting the gong is probably the second best part after being handed the keys and getting a lot of high-fives from Aaron :-) More
Kevin made the process of trading in my Elantra and leasing a Sonata quite pleasant. He was professional; clear; direct; and efficient. Kevin was also very patient as I tried to get adjusted to the new leasing a Sonata quite pleasant. He was professional; clear; direct; and efficient. Watch out for their Cash For Clunkers trade-in program/promotion (gimmick). It is NOT a strict $4,500 off the MSRP as you'd suspect it would be. Our family found out the hard way. Instead, the program/promotion (gimmick). It is NOT a strict $4,500 off the MSRP as you'd suspect it would be. Our family found out the hard way. Instead, the $4,500 comes off some artificially-inflated price. And they will not combine their internet quote/offer (which, by the way, is quoted WITHOUT any options...just the base vehicle) with this bogus Cash For Clunkers program. The bottom line even after discounting $4,500 off their inflated vehicle value resulted in a less-than-reasonable sales price to me. In addition, I should add that during our visit there was A LOT of wasted time while they disappeared to make copies, get the test drive vehicle, talk to the manager, etc. It seems Freehold Hyundai does not respect its customers' time. My wife and I were pretty frustrated by this aspect of our visit. Also, Freehold Hyundai holds very little inventory on the main lot (most of their inventory is held on an offsite location) so you don't really have the freedom to roam the lot to compare cars you're trying to evaluate. To be fair, Tom and Ralph were generally friendly, but I felt they were playing games with us and the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. I felt like it was a waste of 2-3 hours of our time. In summary: Based on my recent experience, I do NOT intend to visit Freehold Hyundai again nor will I recommend family/friends to this particular dealership. They have only themselves to blame. More
This was my first car buying experience so I wanted a car that I can rely on. Hyundai came to mind because my father has a Hyundai Sonata and loves it.
