We had a “freak” event on our very new Tacoma hybrid due to on oversight of QA at the Toyota factory. At around 300 miles, the oil in the engine all came out, dipstick registered zero. It could have been catastrophic as I had just crossed the bridge moments before. It was a month long process of getting new engine block and repair/installation. In the end, we did not want to keep the repaired truck and got refund, bought new. In that month's time, Toyota’s financing interest rate went up a whole percent, but we could not get our original rate back (thought unfair). In fact Toyota Corp. offered nothing to us in compensation for what we had to go thru even though their fault, and we have been quite disappointed in Toyota company for that. But the Fremont dealer was reasonable to deal, said it was a big favor for them to even take the truck back (surprising!) and in the end, came through with some (though we thought small) concessions. We love the new truck, so want now to put all behind us, look forward and enjoy. More

Never received updates, and in the third day they told me nothing was wrong with the vehicle despite the check engine light, limited breaks, Van refusing to stay running and Throttle body default notice on screen. But they did check over the Van because it was due for service checking things that didn't pertaine to the vehicle not running. I had to do my own research and notify service department to replace a failing battery which acts like a failing Throttle body transmission and this fixed the broblem. At pick up the service writer left early but another person helped but was too busy watching basketball on his phone to fully answer my questions about a fuel recall on my vehicle. But besides this, yeah they're great 👍 More

I had an issue with the Privacy lock of my infotainment as I did not know the code since I bought the car used. Another Toyota dealership mentioned to call the 800 number and when I did, the agent mention as I did not know the code since I bought the car used. Another Toyota dealership mentioned to call the 800 number and when I did, the agent mentioned nothing he can do on his end and that I would need to contact a dealership to get it fixed. I thought it would be a headache going back and forth on who can actually fix the issue. I called Fremont Toyota and the service advisor that answered my call was very helpful and tried to troubleshoot the issue with me while asking a technician that might be familiar with the issue. She said she will call me back after she talks more to the technician and she did, with the technician on the line explaining what needs to be done (reset the Infotainment account) and that I can drop off the car and ask for him and that he will take care of the issue for me. I went to the dealership within 30 minutes same day, talked to the technician and he was very helpful and informative. He showed me where I could get coffee so I made coffee for myself and before I could sit down on the waiting lounge, he came to me and mentioned that my vehicle is ready. He patiently went through the sign up process with me on creating the Toyota app account and creating a profile for my car. I really appreciate the fast service and the service advisor actually trying to help me troubleshoot and fix the issue rather than just brushing me off, it was a big sigh of relief for me that I did not have to go through hoops on who actually can fix the issue. More
