Good overall experience My wife and I were in the market for a Honda Pilot and we decided to do a test drive at Galpin since they were the closest dealer to us with the model My wife and I were in the market for a Honda Pilot and we decided to do a test drive at Galpin since they were the closest dealer to us with the model/trim we wanted. We setup an appointment and when we arrived Jhonathan Santos took us on a test drive. I was blown away by the size of their lots and how many cars they had. I'm talking about a parking structure and lots packed with vehicles like sardines. It was an impressive sight to behold. Anyways, we took the test drive and were even allowed to take it on the freeway which gave us a better feel for the Pilot's capabilities. I knew then we were going to get the Pilot but I told Jhonathan we were going to test drive a VW Atlas to compare. He was very gracious and didn't make me feel pressured into buying that day which I can tell you made me respect Jhonathan and the dealership even more. He followed up with me the next day and offered to even drive the Pilot with me to the VW dealer nearby so I could compare the Atlas and Pilot side by side. To me that's the sign of a committed salesperson and one I would want to do business with. Over the next 24 hours I emailed all the dealers in the area that had the model/trim we wanted in stock and asked for their best out the door price. I received a few offers then called Jhonathan and scheduled to come in the next day to negotiate a purchase. Mind you the day we wanted to come in was his day off but he said it was no problem at all. We came in and the process went rather quickly. There wasn't much negotiation because I had an offer in writing and made it clear to them that I wouldn't accept anything less than the offer I had. They countered a few times with a higher price and some extra oil changes but I was firm and said I had to problem walking out and accepting the offer at the other dealer. They accepted our offer soon after that. No hard feelings. Just a straight and simple negotiation that led to a quick sale. When finishing the deal with Liz Zamora in finance, we were offered but never pressured to buy options, packages etc... which was a nice change from what I've experienced before. At the end of the day I think both sides got what they wanted. Galpin was better than most other dealerships I've had experience with. They are very customer service focused which is evident in their clean and comfortable facility, their offering of refreshments from their cafe and just the overall attitude of their staff. They are the #2 volume dealer in the country which is why I was confident they would match any valid offers I received. If we're ever in the market for a new Honda, we're definitely coming back to Galpin. More
