The contrast could not have been more distinct and yet it ran opposite of what might have been expected. The smaller dealership in our home community could not have made us feel more unwelcome and ultimately more distrustful. At the same time the mammoth #2 dealership in the country, Galpin Honda, excelled at customer service while managing what I suspect are at least 10x's the numbers. They beat TO's price, gave us a 0% interest rate, two years free oil change, and the Galpin lifetime drive train warranty. In the process Chaudry and Artin made it clear they were determined to earn our business. Buying a new car is not easy, it is expensive, and can take a long time, but Galpin despite their size (and maybe because they sell so many cars) are practiced professionals. Do your homework, figure out what you want to buy, how much it should cost, and given their interest in doing volume business, it is likely Galpin will be motivated to work with you. More

FYI make sure you do your homework. I knew what car I wanted but I couldn't find a monthly payment I was okay with. So I came, told Yusuf the make and model of the car I'm looking for and I told him what the other dealership quoted me. He was able to stay UNDER my budget and didn't try to sell me anything he didn't think I needed like Honda Sensing (maybe the next car I lease can have that). I'm always going off of people's vibes and Yusuf definitely has a good vibe + he's honest. A few things before you come: 1. Go to Kelley Blue Book or any other site that's helpful and check the price of the car. MSRP is one thing but you're gonna have to know if the car quoted to you is a good deal or not. 2. Bring something to read or do or watch. It's such a long wait to see the finance department. 3. Check your FICO score. It's good to know before you start negotiating with the dealership. Good Luck!
