Selling services NOT needed On 7 December 2016 my daughter went to Garavel for an oil change for her 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. As part of their service they also did a safet On 7 December 2016 my daughter went to Garavel for an oil change for her 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. As part of their service they also did a safety check and advised her to schedule an appointment to replace the rear brakes (pads and rotors) for an estimated $600 plus. She called me upset and since the vehicle had 34,000 miles on it I suggested she go to a local Midas shop where they looked at the vehicle removed wheels and not only showed her and explained but also offered to take photos of rotors that they stated were essentially brand new. They did go ahead and replace the pads for which we were thankful. Total estimate at Garavel was for over $600 and Midas fixed the vehicle for $207. She absolutely felt she had been taken advantage of because she was a young female who they assumed would schedule and pay for whatever they said. She was taught better than that however. More
