My Jeep had check engine light on and was shaking. I was coming in for an oil change and to check the problem. This is my 2nd Wrangler and I have never had any serious issues with the vehicle. I take good coming in for an oil change and to check the problem. This is my 2nd Wrangler and I have never had any serious issues with the vehicle. I take good care of it and keep up with recommended maintenance. Unfortunately, this time the problem was fairly serious. After diagnosing the problem, Keith called me over to the desk to explain. He not only did a very good job detailing the issue but also gave me the pros and cons for not doing the recommended service. I have been to Garavel many times and usually have Keith as my service advisor. I always find him to be fair, honest, hard working and realistic. I don't get the sense that I am being oversold on service like alot of service departments try to do. Garavel is definitely higher in price than most other local places I could go to but after my recent experience with a competitor (Valvoline - I went there last time to change a bunch of fluids), I think you pay for what you get. I stopped in a few weeks earlier for a test drive, At this point I had an idea what I wanted but wasn't entirely sure, as still had to do my homework. Couple weeks later I decided to take the plunge.. G this point I had an idea what I wanted but wasn't entirely sure, as still had to do my homework. Couple weeks later I decided to take the plunge.. Got some bids on what I wanted from Trucar, but was surprised the local dealer wasn't on it.. I figure I stop in see what was going on before I go visit the bidding dealerships. I prefer to spend my money locally when possible, it is also more convenient. When I got there, call it a stroke of luck, but suddenly on their lot was virtually the precise vehicle I was looking for. I went inside talked to Steve (he was the gentleman who gave me the test drive a couple of weeks earlier), who told me they just took it in on a dealer swap and was why I couldn't locate the car on their internet inventory. I told him we could do deal today for this car, if they willing to compete with my bids in hand, and upgrade a specific feature that was missing. A short time later we had a deal, the whole process was really hassle free. I was in/out within an hour. A day after my check cleared, I came back to pick up the car. Steve walked me through all the features, and I was off. We've communicated a few times since on email as easier to ask him how something works than sift through a 700 page manual. It really was an easy experience and Steve helped out a lot. More

I am a commuter who brought in my Subaru for brake pads and getting the rotors turned based on the milage on my car (brought my Subaru here based on previous JEEP work I had done here and was completely sa and getting the rotors turned based on the milage on my car (brought my Subaru here based on previous JEEP work I had done here and was completely satisfied). After less than 20 minutes Keith came back out and told me nothing was needed based on the amount of pad material left for now. After living in 5 states in the past 20 years, I have been to few service departments in my life where I would trust them to come back and say nothing needs to be done. Keith was friendly and courteous even though there was a line on a Saturday morning he in no way made me feel like I wasn't important and took the time he needed with each customer. The service waiting room is fully stocked with water and coffee, and the restrooms was cleaned. I can and will come to Garavel for anything I need done to any car in the future. More
In one week's span, I came to Garavel Jeep a lifelong Toyota / Nissan owner...skeptical of branching outside the midsize sedan category…and when I came into Garavel last Saturday, I was greeted by Ed Mal Toyota / Nissan owner...skeptical of branching outside the midsize sedan category…and when I came into Garavel last Saturday, I was greeted by Ed Maldonado, a very friendly and knowledgable sales rep. Ed helped me with general questions, and got me comfortable with the idea of driving a Jeep. We took a test drive, and Ed was very helping explaining the vehicle's features as I drove - but didn't hammer me with details…instead letting me take in the experience. In fact, Ed wasn't overbearing or trying to "oversell". His approach was organic, and when it came down to hammering out numbers - it was quite painless. Ed even let me test drive the car again the next day under different driving conditions to help me decide whether I wanted to go with a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder. By the end, I was confident in knowing that I wanted to be a Jeep owner. We briefly discussed a range in price, and he came back meeting my needs. It was painless and simple. Only one issue remained - the vehicle I wanted wasn't on their lot - so it meant searching for the vehicle. That's where Mark Porcheddu came in. He helped locate a match - and worked with me on getting the vehicle to me in a short turnaround. When we found the vehicle at another dealership, there were issues getting them to "swap" out their car, so Mark helped me get into an even better Jeep. When I expressed concern over my budget, Mark worked with me, and was able to get me into "the next tier" of that vehicle for an unbelievable price. Picking up the vehicle was again, painless. Mark, and Ed, and Paula Ramos were there to greet me and help me make this transition upon picking up the vehicle. I felt like this dealership operates like a family, not only because everyone seems to get along so well, but also because they treated a total stranger like me, like a real person. It was much appreciated, and Jeep is very lucky to have guys like Ed and Mark, and women like Paula. 5 star experience. More
