I spoke with the team here at Garber Honda in regards to the issues you experienced in regards to your vehicle and the payment. It looks as though we did try to contact you on several occasions as we were awaiting the proof of graduation for the $500.00 rebate. Unfortunately we need this documentation for Honda to process your paperwork and the details of your new vehicle. Should you want to discuss this further, please give our sales manager Sean Carroll a call. He said he was the one in contact with for weeks about this. Thank you.

Never Again responded

All lies! First the salesman knew that although I “walked” for graduation, that I had one additional class to take. With regards to the “New Grad” rebate, The salesman said “no problem, Honda just needs a transcript”. You were nice enough to charge me $500 more until the rebate came in however. While I was waiting for my transcript, I was concerned that some 38 days had passed and I had not received my registration and my temporary one was expiring in one week. I called and you said, “don’t worry, you have 45 days”. I did receive my registration with 3 days to spare. When I did bring in my transcript, you said nothing and filed the paperwork. About 10 days later I again called to find out a status because I thought I would have to make a payment in 2 weeks. You said Honda rejected the transcript because it didn’t have a graduation date. Upon further questioning Garber said you knew 2 days after I submitted my transcript to you that it was rejected! No call from Garber. Again I was the one to reach out. Then you tell me not to worry. You have 90 days to submit paperwork to Honda. If a payment comes due, Garber will make the payment from the $500 YOU CHARGED ME EXTRA to cover the rebate if Honda didn’t approve or if “anything happens”. Sounds like you already knew what would happen. Then you say, just get a letter from school saying I will graduate in December and all will be good. Well that’s easy for you to say and difficult for a school to put their name on paper since in their minds, there is no guarantee I will graduate, albeit only one class. All 4 times I’ve been in contact with Garber, I was the one to reach out. Not one called from Garber EVER! Not one apology. Not once did you say, we tried to contact you, can you verify your info. Simply dead air from Garber. I found out you finally filed the paperwork with Honda Financial because HF called me to tell me I was 18 days late on a payment I had no idea was due, because of Garber’s either complete incompetence or complete lack of caring. How can you sit there and blame me when you didn’t file the paperwork with Honda Financial for nearly 80 days after the sale and then say it’s all my fault. You can’t even say that I was not responsive since I was the one that initiated every contact. Not once did you say you need to hurry. All I ever got was “Don’t worry. We have time”. Like I said initially, I knew you would put blame on me, and you did. That’s probably the only expected response I’ve now come to rely on from Garber. Again I say NEVER AGAIN and without a doubt. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! I just can’t say that enough.
