I do not recommend this business for car repair/service. I came in for an oil change as a first time customer. During the oil change, Erica came into the lobby and told me that my car needed a new cabin fil I came in for an oil change as a first time customer. During the oil change, Erica came into the lobby and told me that my car needed a new cabin filter and engine filter. However, I know my filters were fine and did not need replaced. I saw them pull this same technique on other people in the lobby. I spoke to my friend, who got an oil change here 2 years ago, and Gates told them the same thing - "you need new filters" - even though my buddy's filters were very recently replaced. After my oil change was finished and I paid, there was a multi-point inspection sheet they gave me and on the report it said both filters in my car were FINE and passed inspection - SO... THEN WHY did Gates try and charge me almost $100 for parts and labor for new filters?? I had these filters changed recently and I know for a fact they were both still in acceptable condition. This is not the first service center to utilize this nefarious technique, but it still feels disingenuous and left a bad taste in my mouth knowing this is part of their ordinary routine with customers - They did this with other people in the lobby and my friend who also came here for an oil change in the past. Very unprofessional and disingenuous if you're asking me. I came in for an affordable oil change, but will never return again after this experience - especially, seeing how they did the same to my friend 2 years ago and others in the lobby the same day. I appreciate the problem with my auto being found and fixed when other mechanics were not able to do so. I disappointed me that I had to make the contact to find out a part was placed on back order and fixed when other mechanics were not able to do so. I disappointed me that I had to make the contact to find out a part was placed on back order and I would not receive my repaired car back as previously promised. Then, I, again had to make the contact to find out my vehicle was repaired and ready for me to pick up. At the very least, I should have been contacted each time instead of I needing to do so. More
