There are a couple of reasons I am not rating Gateway a 5 star. When I first came in for the trail boss it was not on the lot yet. I could not put a down payment on the truck to hold it because of dealer rul star. When I first came in for the trail boss it was not on the lot yet. I could not put a down payment on the truck to hold it because of dealer rules. But I sat down with my two salesman and came to a good "basic" agreement on the final payment. We also agreed that once the truck arrived I would be able to put a down payment for it over the phone. I work in Flagstaff so that was the best way for me to reserve the truck. The truck came in on a Tuesday and I was called but was told I could not put the down payment in over the phone. So I had to drive down that evening to make the deal on the truck. My 2 salesman were not working that day so any deals we talked about suddenly did not exist. So I had to work the deal again and had to compromise on my loan term. The other item that really irked me was the dealer add-ons that I was told by my original salesmen that they could remove for me, since they did not have the truck yet and these could be left off. This would have saved me over a thousand dollars. I do not need the tint and door guards from the dealer! But I was told on the day I finalized the deal that these add ons are a requirement by ownership. I will say that the team that I worked with overall was very good. But there things agreed upon that did not happen. More
