Visited Gene Messer Chevrolet on February 28, 2026 looking for a midsized SUV that would handle a 500 lb tongue weight to install a power lift for a mobility scooter. My salesman Jonathan Lucio had c looking for a midsized SUV that would handle a 500 lb tongue weight to install a power lift for a mobility scooter. My salesman Jonathan Lucio had contacted me via text previously offering his services to assist me. I explained what kind of vehicle I was looking for and about the tongue weight I was seeking. He helped me choose a vehicle and I took it home that day. I pulled the owners manual to become familiar with the vehicle and noticed what the tongue weight was. It was way below what I had requested. So I sent a text that night to Jonathan explaining my surprise on reading the manual and realized there was a miscommunication concerning my weight request. Just a misunderstanding. Everyone learned a lesson in the difference between tongue weight and towing weight. Jonathan was very remorseful that he misunderstood my request and was more than willing to make it right. The manager Michael was also involved in rectifying this great misunderstanding. After returning the next day, we found a vehicle after Jonathan worked tirelessly for hours. I am now in a new vehicle that so far I am very pleased with, thanks to management, sales (Jonathan Lucio) and Kade in finance. Job well done. More
