I always make an appointment for any service. Technicians always greet you upon arrival and check you in. They are very good about keeping you updated on the progress of your vehicle. A new carb was Messer Ford in Lubbock, in order to address three issues with the truck. 1. The truck would stall upon depressing the gas from a stop. A new carb was ordered and installed. So far it’s a success story. 2. Install Pertronix unit and coil to replace points and condenser. I asked them to make sure I had 12 volts coming through the coil; lower voltage would ultimately ruin this electronic ignition system. They never informed me after the install that I had 12 volts running through that unit and coil. 3. Repair brake lights, they were intermittently staying lit after I departed the vehicle; a few times it drained the battery and I was stranded. I showed Tom the brake pedal had some play in it. When I picked the truck up the receipt said they couldn’t re- create the problem. Nobody told me if they addressed the brake pedal issue. The pedal is still loose.. It was a better, not best effort in my estimation. I paid $1,500.00 for that work. I thought Ford would have done a better all around job. Not so, it seemed like a lethargic effort on their part. Plus no mention of a warranty window. So, in kind, I give 3 out of 5 and I’m being gracious. I’m an old guy with dementia; I feel I was taken advantage of. Kenny More
