I went there because my car said I was due for an oil change. When I got there, I was told that I was too early, as I have prepaid maintenance. Turns out on the previous visit, the car was set to a 500 change. When I got there, I was told that I was too early, as I have prepaid maintenance. Turns out on the previous visit, the car was set to a 5000-mile interval instead of 7500-mile interval, and some of the maintenance done the last time shouldn't have been done so early. The woman taking care of me said that she couldn't do anything without approval from her supervisor. She came back and said they would do the oil change to get me back on schedule, without me having to pay for it, as I told her I was unwilling to pay for something I had already paid for with the prepaid maintenance. I also told her that the last time I asked for the wipers to be changed but they didn't do it, even though the invoice said they had. She said they took care of that as well, as it was one of the recommendations from the technician working on my car. With so many mix-ups, they could have easily told me that I was out of luck and couldn't rectify these problems without me paying additional money. But they admitted it was their fault and took care of me and my car needs. Exceptionally good customer service. More

Just to let you know how much I dislike the customer service we have received with this service department, the free oil change you sent in the mail is going in trash. Same reason as stated by other r service we have received with this service department, the free oil change you sent in the mail is going in trash. Same reason as stated by other reviews. Live 80 miles out of town, and making an appointment is useless. Does nothing for you as I was informed by men taking vehicles in. Was told it was very busy, and it would probably be 3 hours till they could get it in. I explained that I had an appointment. He said all that did was let the cousterm know they were excepting cars. Some of the cars ahead were left for pickup at the end of the day. It didn't matter. My place in line was set when I got there. It didn't matter that unless I wanted to drive two vehicles, my wife and I would just have to set there. What's funny? I was running a little late, and I called to let them know. Bet they got a good laugh. The good thing is I live about the same distance from Abilene and the hyundai dealership there is not Genne Messer. They could not believe this story, and an appointment there is honored. I would like to know if the other Gene Messer dealerships service department works this way.
