My husband and I went in to Kia around December 2024 looking for a new vehicle, but we weren’t sure what we wanted or could afford at the time. Kino was generous and informational. He provided answers for our questions without making us feel pressured. He was helpful and gave his card to call when we were ready. April 2025 my husband and I decide we’re ready and remembered the great impression Kino left so we texted him we would be in the area looking again, and he was prompt with a response and ready to help us. That day we drove home in our new 2025 Telluride happy and more than satisfied with the service provided not only from Kino our salesman, but from everyone at Gene Messer Kia. Went in to get warranty work on my 2020 Kia Rio because the trunk latch broke. They weasled their way out of the repair by claiming my 2020 Kia Rio was a December of 2019 of 2020 Kia Rio and said my warran the trunk latch broke. They weasled their way out of the repair by claiming my 2020 Kia Rio was a December of 2019 of 2020 Kia Rio and said my warranty was expired despite having less than 60,000 miles. To make matters worse, they tried to sell me on additional repairs such as a head gasket that I absolutely don't need since mine isn't damaged in the slightest. My engine is in perfect condition and they wanted to charge me $550+ for a repair that I don't need. My mechanic replaced the trunk latch for $80 and checked their list of recommended services. He stated that he couldn't find any problem with my head gasket, so they were trying to screw me. I had respect for Kia because my car hasnt given me any issues but now, I will NEVER buy anything from Kia again. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. More
