But this time it was my daughter's first car bought on her own, and I wanted her to learn about c I hadn't bought a car in years, and always buy cash. But this time it was my daughter's first car bought on her own, and I wanted her to learn about car buying/financing, so we were both a little nervous about the process. That ended when we met Robert Blue, a heck of a nice guy who sized up the situation and walked us through the process gently, while educating and also treating my daughter as if it was his own daughter's big day, very much appreciated by me. He made sure that the car was in great shape end to end, even replaced a muffler we thought was a little off kilter, no questions asked. After the sale was completed, and we could have driven away, he took the extra time to make sure my daughter's phone was "paired" with her new car's audio, something only a Dad would think was important on this big day. What a wonderful guy. I have always found the finance end a little cold, cut and dried, Greg was another great guy for my daughter's big day. He walked her through the numbers, explained everything in detail and suggested smart ways to pay down the balance early and why that was important. Frankly it was also an education for me and I was most appreciative of how he handled the situation. Long story short, if you want to buy a Subaru, go to Center Subaru in Torrington, CT and insist on Robert in sales, Greg in finance, you will undoubtedly have an as good or better experience from these friendly knowledgeable professionals, and have a great car buying experience. Joe was, and continues to be, there every step of the way. He listened as I explained my needs and interests, and found ways to make things work logistically and within my time frame and budget. It was never about a sale, but entirely about helping me with where I needed to go, and developing a relationship built on trust, professionalism, and clear communication. When I arrived during a weekday to pickup the car, half an hour before closing, Joe and James had the paperwork prepared and stayed very late on a very, very rainy night so that I could drive by the time I needed to. In going above and beyond, well beyond the proverbial mile, or rather 36,000 miles, Joe has built a confidence between myself and the dealership so that I know that I can depend on them. I don't think I would have ever recommended a car dealership, but I highly recommend Center Subaru to all related persons.
