My wife and I had been looking for a new car for some time. We were considering and Honda and even a Toyota. The attitude we got from the Toyota dealership was by far the worst treatment we ever received time. We were considering and Honda and even a Toyota. The attitude we got from the Toyota dealership was by far the worst treatment we ever received. Don't ever walk in to Toyota on a Saturday if you are just looking. We never really knew much about the Altima but we are glad we we decided to stop in to Gerald Nissan. They were very friendly and gave us our space and respected the fact that we were just looking. They have an amazing test track in the back which I thought was so much fun. The salesman, Bill, did a great job and took his time with us and believe it or not we bought the same day which is something we never do. We love our Altima and will make sure to tell everyone we know to go see Bill. Thanks again guys!! More
My wife and I looked at a used 2005 350Z at Gerald in Naperville. I first have state that Keevan, our sales associate was a very nice guy. Unfortunately, the positive comments end here. It's the sale Naperville. I first have state that Keevan, our sales associate was a very nice guy. Unfortunately, the positive comments end here. It's the sales manager who was basically worthless and lost the potential deal, and any other future business from me ever. The vehicle was not yet priced, but we were interested since my wife specifically wanted a white 350Z. Fair market value on this car is about $16K - 17K or so, and I thought this would be a ballpark figure. The Sales Manager came back with a price of over $23K! On a used 2005 350Z with 49K miles! The manager complained that he had "too much into the car and couldn't sell it for much less." Sorry, but that insults our intelligence and we simply laughed and walked out the door. Apparently, they have much better things to do than to sell me a car. Keevan, if you read this, go to another dealership because the so-called managers are losing money for you. If anyone from Gerald reads this, yes, we did end up purchasing a 350Z. But not from you...ever. Oh, and we paid less for an '08 350Z with fewer than 15K miles. You can forget any parts or service sales from me either, I'll go elsewhere. More

The sales manager said they should have it by next week. No one called and we called back and then they said that we were looking at the 1st week in Dec. No one called again and we called back the sales person (Jon Molero) and left a message. We did not here back from him for over a week. When we did talk with Jon we asked him to check and see if the deal was going to be the out the door price minus the next payment we would have to make it if the car did not come in by the 15th of Dec. The deal he made was 38,700.00 out the door and we did not have to pay the last two payments of our lease. He said it would only be a difference of $10.00 on our payment. We said that would be great. We never heard back from Jon. We called him again on the 9th of Dec. and asked what was going on and now he said we were looking at the 1st of Jan. 2010. We asked him again about checking on taking off the payment of $517.00 from the out the door price of 38,700.00 and what we could do if the car did not come in before our lease was up in Feb.. He did not call us back, a man named Sonny called on Friday Dec. 11th and thanked us for being paitent with them. We again asked Sonny to check to see if they were going to take off $517.00 from the out the door price of 38,700.00 and what we could do about a car if they did not have the car we wanted in before our lease date expired. We asked him to get back to us on Sat. Dec. 12th. He did not call call back. Jon Molero then called on Dec. 18th and said that our car should be in the week of Christmas and the lastest we should have it would be on Dec. 26th. Jon never called. On Dec. 28th Jon called and said the car was in and to come in and sign the paperwork. When we went in we asked about taking off the 517.00. Jon said he coulcn't do that. Jon left and Bob Smiley came to Jon's desk. Bob said that the deal was 38,700.00 out the door and not anything to do with the last two payments of our lease. Bob said that was the only deal made. Bob left and came back and threw the deposit check on the desk at us and said I can not sell you the car for that and walked away. Michele cried and we left and sat in the car outside for a minute and decided to go back in and tell them to forget about the extra money off and they agreed. We started to sign the papers. The person who was in charge of taking the leased car back asked us question about our sales expierence. We were honest and said we were unhappy with the whole time frame, not returning phone calls and not getting the extra money off even though we were willing to buy the car without the 517.00 off. This is when we were told that not making the last 5 months of your lease payment was part of turning in your leased car and buying a car from the same dealer. This was not made clear any other time during the whole sales process. Bob Smiley came over and said I hear you are not happy. We said no. He said he does not sell cars to people that are not happy. Took the papers and walked away. Came back and gave us the leased car's keys back and left. We were devistated and left in shock and humilation. One week later we turned our car into a different Nissan dealership, because Michele did not want to ever go back to them again. That same night we turned the car in Sonny from Gerald Nissan Naperville called and said your car is in come and get it you have until 9:00pm. He did not believe we had not bought the car yet. We can not understand that he did not know what happened the night when Bob Smiley told us we could not buy the car, but Sonny was there and even came over and asked if we wanted extra protection for the car. We do not want to buy a car from a dealer who would humilate a customer to the extent of sleepless nights and a very truamatic expierence. We just want to let you and other people know what kind of dealership they are. Your Desired Resolution: We just want the BBB and other people to know what kind of dealership Gerald Nissan of Naperville is. We do not want other people to have to expierence being sick to their stomachs, losing sleep over what they are going to do next to get a car. We have never been so humilated in our lives as a paying customer with very good credit. More
I purchased a Nissan Sentra from this worst dealership. That was my bad luck I happened to visit them and ended up buying a car from them. Most of the agents including the top boss may be owner of the dirt That was my bad luck I happened to visit them and ended up buying a car from them. Most of the agents including the top boss may be owner of the dirty place are crooked and clever like fox. They'd never give you a real picture and try a lot to fool around and waste your precious time for their worst service. I'd recommend not to go there ever in your life. You'll definitely have a bad experience. Beware!! of the Clever Fox!! They'll make you buy a car by hook or crook and later on be prepared for a bad service. I had traded in my 2009 Nissan Versa with 2009 Nissan Sentra in Mar 2009. First I was misguided about the Lic. plates, they issues me the new plates instead of using the old plates very cleverly and mischievously. Later on it took me a long time and big hassle to fix that lic. plate issue with DMV. I was also assured by Eddy, the finance guy that I'll get the refund for my GAP insurance on my Versa. I called him many times and he always said it'll take some more time to process. Finally, I called the GAP company to confirm the matter and I was shocked to know that my policy was never canceled and they didn't even get a request from Gerald Nissan, Naperville for any kind of cancellation. SO bad of them!! Finally, I got my policy canceled from the GAP company and now I'm waiting for my refund even after 6 months. Pls Pls Pls never opt to go to such a worst dealership. I recommend Nissan should close such dealerships to avoid the hassle to its customers. More
I spoke to the internet sales mgr over the phone and asked if he would price match another competitor's advertised price. He reassured that he could match or beat it. When I got there he handed me off asked if he would price match another competitor's advertised price. He reassured that he could match or beat it. When I got there he handed me off to Anthony. Anthony looked at the add and went on a tangent about the additional fees that the other dealer might charge. When I asked him yes or no if he would match the price he said "no". When I tried to take back the print out he stood up and YELLED "SIT DOWN!!!!!". At that point I left, when I was about to pull out of the lot. Bob the Sales mgr asked to talk to me at my car. He reassured me that he would straiten this out for me. When I told him he had 5 minutes, he responded with "Don't THREATEN ME!!!!!". So as an idiot I went back and he went thru the same B.S. that Anthony did when we started talking pricing I mention that the Altima 2.5S listed said Save $4000 his response "On some vehicles" this was not listed in the add. And also this whole time no one apoligized for their behavior. This was the worst dealership I've been too. I was yelled and and Threatened. I will not go back there. More

Good dealer, lots of cars. There was a little bit of pressure selling from the sales manager but the sales person was very nice and helped me right away. I knew what I wanted and they had it there for pressure selling from the sales manager but the sales person was very nice and helped me right away. I knew what I wanted and they had it there for a cheep cheep price. They're all about pushing the cars out so it would be hard to beat their prices if you wanted to really fight with them. More
1) Bought a car - was told that the lowest financing rate possible was 5.5% but contract showed 5% o they could make money off the extended warranty. 2) car had a small scratch, was told this would be fixed possible was 5.5% but contract showed 5% o they could make money off the extended warranty. 2) car had a small scratch, was told this would be fixed when brought in but manager refused to honot it when I brough it back. 3) Bought a used car, was told and paperwork showed it was an "SE" - called Nissan customer Affairs after 3 months to double-check since other cars on road did not seem to be same as mine - turns out it was an "XE" manger told me "too bad my loss" (now pursuing lawsuit). I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in July 2006. A month later I called regarding license plates. Spoke to Eddie and he said it takes about 45 days. Called in September, plates were still not in, asked Eddie to look in my file and asked him if there was a title problem. Eddie said no title problem but come in that day and he would plate the vehicle. He called me back later that day and said yes there was a title problem and said he was to receive the title that afternoon and I would have the plates within 7 days. 7 days came and went and I called back to find out they still were not in. I called again and spoke with Sally who said the paperwork was being sent to a licensing facility and I would have my plates on October 2, 2006. I called on October 3, 2006 and was told my plates were in the Naperville location and went to this location on October 4th only to find out my plates were in the N. Aurora location and I would have to wait 45 minutes for them to come back to this location. I had it I wasn't going to wait 1 minute longer. I as a customer had to do the leg work on this. I would never be a customer of this dealership ever again. More
Do not ever buy a car from this dealership. They have yet to do any thing right. We had a trade-in and they couldn't make the payoff on the trade-in w/o me holding their hand. It's taken 6 weeks to get yet to do any thing right. We had a trade-in and they couldn't make the payoff on the trade-in w/o me holding their hand. It's taken 6 weeks to get every thing straight. I have had to verify and correct all the paperwork on the vehicle, including the mileage on the car at the time of purchase, the expiration date on the warranty (they tried to short me). After driving the car for a couple weeks I realized something just wasn't right. They let me leave the dealership only having the tires half inflated. Now that it's starting to get warm out I've realized the sunroof doesn't properly work. At this time I do not feel confident about the purchase I made. I will never go back and I recomend nobody else to purchase from Gerald Nissan. More
