Here at Germain Lexus of Easton, we strive to ensure that all of our customers have an equal and fair opportunity to purchase one of our pre - owned vehicles, which is why we allow a good faith refundable deposit to be placed on a vehicle, giving the client first right to purchase a particular vehicle. We know that there are no two pre - owned vehicles exactly alike, and some of our vehicles are in very high demand. We held the car specifically for you, evaluated your trade, presented you with all the information you requested to help you with your decision, and you chose not to purchase the car, which we completely understand - roughly 30% of the people who inquire about one of our vehicles actually make a purchase. When we informed you that there were other clients interested in the vehicle, we simply wanted to be fully up front with you and let you know that the vehicle would be released to the next client waiting in line for the car, and sure enough, that client decided to purchase. The ease in which a customer can shop on the Internet for a car has forced us to implement this simple deposit strategy so that we can accommodate customers literally across the nation. We understand that there may be circumstances that make it difficult for our customers to find the time to visit our store, whether it be someone from out of town, difficult work schedules, or in this particular case, the vehicle had just arrived and hadn't completed inspection. This process helps to alleviate any concern that someone may have about missing out on a vehicle before having an opportunity to purchase a vehicle at Germain. Again, we apologize for any grief this may have caused you, and we certainly hope you will consider us again in the future.
