What a pleasant experience!!! We phoned ahead to let them know the vehicle we were interested in, and Chris had it fueled and ready for us to test drive when we arrived. We left the dealership with the veh know the vehicle we were interested in, and Chris had it fueled and ready for us to test drive when we arrived. We left the dealership with the vehicle, although the buying experience with Germain was a pleasant one we would have been happy with our experience regardless!!! We were treated with respect and were so very comfortable while there. The dealership was clean and everyone was friendly. We've found a dealership that is worth recommending and a dealership that we WILL return to in the future! Thanks Chris and Germain!!! More
I would like to say after I posted my unpleasant experience with Jeff Bean, Grey Coby called me an apologized. He has taken a lot of the ugliness away. He gave me a few perks for the future so I hop experience with Jeff Bean, Grey Coby called me an apologized. He has taken a lot of the ugliness away. Be very cautious of this dealership. Sold me a junk car that looked great but had major issue. Try getting a hold of them after you realize you got a bad car and you will soon see how unethical they are. A that looked great but had major issue. Try getting a hold of them after you realize you got a bad car and you will soon see how unethical they are. Also, if you let them sell you the extended warranty, be sure you change the oil right away, even if the stick on window says it is not due. Failure to change the oil within 60 days of the purchase date will nullify your warranty for engine or engine related parts.I have been given more run around from this place than I know how to express. Very unorganized and dishonest. More
Always have available appointments within one or two days. No waiting, always greeted promptly with a smile. Service is quick and well done. When I purchased this Venza it was the Best deal of all Toyot days. No waiting, always greeted promptly with a smile. Service is quick and well done. I recently purchased a used certified 2009 Toyota Corolla from Germain Toyota East. Very nice car and I am happy with the whole experience overall. Got the car I wanted at the payment I needed. End of sto from Germain Toyota East. Very nice car and I am happy with the whole experience overall. Got the car I wanted at the payment I needed. End of story? I'm thinking what to follow is typical when buying a car. Dealerships run a profit business with plenty of overhead, etc. I understand that they need to make a handsome profit. As a customer trying to get the best deal, expect things your not thinking of. Maybe a little underhanded at that. Example being my last 2 car buying encounters. On my previous used car buy at Germain, the 2001 Corolla I purchased had been previously wrecked in the front end. Good body work and basically undetectable. I took the car on a test drive. The turn signal parking light cover had fallen off. I didn't even notice. Bought the car. Went out to get into my new used car and noticed it. The salesman very nice apologetic said he would order a new one. Come back it would be taken care. End of story. That never happened. He did offer a full tank of gas. The cover cost me $98.00. Nothing he could do because I had signed off with nothing promised, nothing owed. Now for my most recent. First off, the car was said to be 2010, when it was a 2009. $13,500 vs. $11,900. Honest mistake? IDK. I got the car for $12,500 thinking OK deal. But instead I actually paid extreme top dollar. Kelly blue book listed at $11,800. Still not half bad. I'm fine with the payment. They actually got me a lower interest rate, than my credit union was offering with a 680 credit score. The car had a broken dangling interior grab handle, agreed to be taken care of. Also had one tire that had 2/32" of tread. The rest were fine. Agreed to be replaced. Who wants to buy a $12,500 car with a bologna skin tire. In the initial buying process, I was given papers to sign for insurance purposes, until I contact my agent, warranties, speed talk, speed sign But what I was doing was signing the nothing promised, nothing owed form without knowing it. I refused to sign the final loan papers until I knew the tire and handle were taken care of. The salesperson came back in apologetic, nice and I since then follow through. I'm happy with the car. Very nice. Just some things to be aware of when buing a used car. More
I had such a wonderful experience when buying my second car from Germain. Omar Jackson was extremely helpful, was not pushy, he was so patient in helping us choose a car that was right for our budget and h car from Germain. Omar Jackson was extremely helpful, was not pushy, he was so patient in helping us choose a car that was right for our budget and he went above and beyond to help us! He put us in a beautiful car that I didn't know was possible to have! Since we had no clue what we wanted, we were looking at several different cars and he was very knowledgeable of ALL the cars we were looking at. He helped us pick the perfect car for our budget and our lifestyle. We will definitely come back to him when we need to replace our other car! More
Do not use Germain Service Dept. Cannot be trusted. I believe they did unnecessary work on my car. Brought my 2007 Prius in becuase it had died on road and i had to tow to neasest dealer. They said it believe they did unnecessary work on my car. Brought my 2007 Prius in becuase it had died on road and i had to tow to neasest dealer. They said it was my air flow sensor. Charged me $179 for part which is about 25% more than elsewhere but what really makes me mad, is they charged $209 for installation. The part literally takes no more than 5 minutes to changed. Literally - check it out on you tube: just search on prius air flow sensor - I'd post the link but it's not allowed - 2 screws is all that really needs to be removed. I checked it out when I got my car back and it is the easiest part I ever removed in a car taking not even 2 minutes. To me it shows Germain Toyota is not customer oriented and only wants to get as much money as they can from you. I recommend driving an extra 15 miles and going to River Valley Toyota for service where I've had excellent trustworthy and honest service in the past. While there they said I needed plugs, throttle body cleaning, rear wiper, waterpump - tried to scare me by saying car would run rough if i didn't have the throttle body cleaned ($94 are they joking)- they were basically trying to take me for as much as they could get - it added up to more than a thousand. Unbelievable. How do you spell Germain Toyota - R I P O F F - RIPOFF. After researching the problem more, I don't believe the part needed changing at all. If you read up on it the fix for air flow is to first try cleaning it becuase it often gets dirt on it that blocks the sensor. Before this happened I had stopped at the auto parts and checked the air filter before I replaced it. That probably caused dirt to drop onto sensor so cleaning probably would have corrected the problem. But i believe they were just looking to make some money. Checking the web, the air flow normally results in a warning light, but does not stop the car from running which was the problem i brought it in for. I really don't think this was tghe problem at all. I feel tgotalky ripped off. BTW - they did not return the used part so I willnever know for sure. More
I found this a Horrible experience. We drove an hr and 20 mins to get to this dealer to buy a truck that we thought was a decent deal, after we got there the sales person, even though he was friendly, made m mins to get to this dealer to buy a truck that we thought was a decent deal, after we got there the sales person, even though he was friendly, made me feel like a fool. This place tried to offer us a interest rate of almost 20%, with good credit. I only know this percentage rate because my bank did all the math, since the sales person refused to tell us and kept skirting around that question. If we'd have went for the offer then we were going to be paying 20180 for a truck worth 11200 clean. I have already bought a car from one of the other Germains and was pleased with their service. We used my banks financing for it. After this experience I would never come back to them for a vehicle and I suggest you use other financing than those offered if you plan to buy from them. After speaking to my bank they assured us we can get a 5.99 interest on this same loan amount, so we will be taking our business elsewhere this time and in the future. More
John Day was very helpful in obtaining what I wanted from the vechicle I bought, he even helped me obtain accersories I wanted months after I bought the vechicle either my contacting me or if I came to Toyot the vechicle I bought, he even helped me obtain accersories I wanted months after I bought the vechicle either my contacting me or if I came to Toyota in person. I can't reccomend him enough. Lew Karbler made sure the finance part went as smoothly as possible. More
