Today I had a service appointment on a brand new truck I purchased there a year ago it was for oil change and the radio, since I bought the truck it will stop working or not come on at all I have told them purchased there a year ago it was for oil change and the radio, since I bought the truck it will stop working or not come on at all I have told them about this three times now it is well known that all 2024 and 2025s have this problem yet they keep acting like its all new to them LOL. It's not a big deal too them but it is to me as it has almost made me crash many times on the freeway with me trying to get it to come on again, also I'm surprised they are still in business as today alone I have tried to call them for over 2 hours I tried to call the service guy the service manager and even sales and everywhere it just rings and rings with no answer I think I have tried about 30 times just today alone. Needless to say I won't be buying a new vehicle from here again. More
Service today was awful! !! I've owned Toyotas for about 50 years and have never had such a bad service experience. The check in people were courteous and welcoming and when w !! I've owned Toyotas for about 50 years and have never had such a bad service experience. The check in people were courteous and welcoming and when we checked out the "service coordinator" said she didn't know why it took so long to do basic service but agreed that it did indeed take too long! Made an appointment for 11AM today, got there at 10:45 AM and got out of there at 2 PM. Apparently appointments do not matter at Gettel so if you drive in there seems to be a first in, first served policy. Skip taking time to make an appointment because it will be a waste of your time! When I made the service appointment online, I was asked what I wanted to have serviced, My reply was they were to do an oil change and filter and a safety check. They acted clueless about why I was there, even though my service request had been sent to them in writing. So again, when asked why I was there I repeated that I wanted a basic safety check and an oil and filter change. So then the service coordinator tried to upsell me with work that really isn't necessary or requested! So three hours later after the requested service was completed we were handed a $500+ bill and finally got out of there .... never to return again!!! We have other options and we hope you do too! 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed and Financially Harmed I have been dealing with Gettel Toyota of Charlotte County for FOUR MONTHS over what should have been a straightforward diagnostic situatio Harmed I have been dealing with Gettel Toyota of Charlotte County for FOUR MONTHS over what should have been a straightforward diagnostic situation on my 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. My vehicle shut off suddenly while driving. I had it towed to Gettel Toyota, where I was initially told the issue would be diagnosed quickly. Instead, I was given shifting explanations, and blatant LIES about escalation to Toyota Corporate, and ultimately a vague diagnosis of “internal wiring harness damage” with a $13,668 repair estimate — for a part they stated was discontinued and unavailable with no timeline for replacement. I was told a TAS (Technical Assistance System) case had been opened with Toyota engineers. Corporate later confirmed this was NOT true at the time I was told it was. I was told “higher level engineers” were reviewing my case when they were not. I was quoted $13,000+ to replace a wiring harness without a definitive root cause. I was told the failure was not rodent damage, not water intrusion, not a manufacturing defect — just “internal harness damage” with no external cause. I was given a $0 trade-in value on a 2019 Corolla. During this time, the dealership provided a rental vehicle. I was told (on a recorded call) that the rental was “extended through Monday” and that someone would follow up with next steps. No one followed up. No one told me to return the rental. No written end date was provided to me OR Enterprise. I was never told to return the car, and they certainly didn’t tell me that I would be held responsible for any charges after their “end date” (that was never set). Fast forward — Enterprise charged my debit card $2,090.05 without my authorization after the dealership failed to manage or close the rental agreement properly. I was informed by Enterprise that the dealership BACKDATED the paperwork to show an end date that I was never made aware of. My bank account has been drained while I dispute the charge. The dealership is now claiming they “only authorized three days” and are refusing responsibility — despite the fact that: 1. I remained in the rental because I was waiting on updates THEY said were coming. 2. They never contacted me to instruct me to return it. 3. The only reason I escalated to corporate was because the dealership failed to properly escalate my case in the first place. My car is still not fixed. I no longer have a rental. My bank account was hit for over $2,000. This situation has been mishandled at nearly every level — from diagnostics, to communication, to corporate escalation, to rental coordination. I expected professionalism from a Toyota dealership. Instead, I have experienced miscommunication, delays, contradictory statements, and significant financial harm. I would strongly caution anyone considering service here to document EVERYTHING. I sincerely hope management or corporate leadership reviews this situation and works toward a resolution, because this experience has been unacceptable. I am a single mom putting myself through school and now I am left without a vehicle and a drained bank account all due to this dealerships gross incompetence. More
I am from out of town and I needed to bring my 2024 RAV4 in for routine maintenance. I walked away with a $500 bill and A handprint that took the finish off The exterior of my Passenger door. I have been trying to coordinate the Repair of the damage done to my car. Their customer service is horrible… I have yet to speak to the service department manager, though I have tried several times This is not the level of quality Or customer service I would expect from Toyota! Went in for an oil change and rotation at 30k , was told that I was out of warranty at 25k. Left it to get oil change anyway. Went home called the Toyota co. Customer service, nice woman there looked m that I was out of warranty at 25k. Left it to get oil change anyway. Went home called the Toyota co. Customer service, nice woman there looked my car up and as I told service manager Mike. That I did have coverage for another 20k with 2 oil changes and 4 rotations. Called dealership in fort myers where I purchased. They told me it was right on computer for anyone to see. After leaving voice message and send an email. When I went back he realized he was not correct. I got over it. When I was driving out of dealership. Beeping in my car. The good was not even closed. Don’t waste my time going back in and wasting more time there. 3 services. Two of them with same service manager or whatever they are, not real thrilled with the service 2 of the 3 times there. But since your close to home and all dealerships take care of warranty work, which Mike told me in the beginning to call fort myers and see if I bought some special service contract off them. Long story short. Giving a 2 star. Being generous! Thank you More

Reluctantly I took my Tundra back into the dealer for the 100,000 mile service. It was a big bill due to having all the fluids changed, oil change, all the filters, brake rotors turned and belts replaced. It 100,000 mile service. It was a big bill due to having all the fluids changed, oil change, all the filters, brake rotors turned and belts replaced. It was 2631.20. The assistant manager "Mike" kept touting that he saved me 100.00. While thankful for 100.00 discount, they didnt even wash the vehicle after having it from 0800 in the morning till approximately 4:30 pm. But, my real problem is that after I dropped my vehicle off, I recieved a phone call from a guy named "John" that stated he noticed 4 rock chips in my glass in front of the drivers side line of view. He also said he can get that taken care of for me, just provide picture ID and insurance info. I said sure. American Auto Glass (AAG) came out to install an AFTERMARKET windshield, however the glass was defective and could not be installed. Round two started Friday May 2, AAG came out installed AFTERMARKET glass again. Staurday morning I got in my truck and started off to work when I noticed that looking through the glass, it was as if I was wearing bifocals! I don't wear prescription glasses or contacts. I called AAG immediatly and told them the issue. They sais it would be next Thursday to repair the glass. I informed them I use my vehicle for my business and that time fram was unacceptable. "Jennifer" with AAG stated she spoke to a manager and they would be out first thing (5 May) Monday morning. Today is Monday and guess who is not showing up. I recieved a call from another lady from AAG (Valerie??) and she said it would be late afternoon now. I said ok, however I want OEM TOYOTA glass to be installed. They said that they would have to check with the insurance company for approval. Meanwhile, I called "John" to express my frustration with this mess since he initiated the whole deal. Needless to say, no call back, no text, crickets. So now I have a vehicle that is not safe to operate, which I require for my small business. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM! I would think Gettel Toyota would have better business practices than this. I said in my previous post that Venice Toyota was a much better dealership, Gettel just got my last dollar! More
