Service Department failed to repair issue properly. When returned for correction, advisor denied any wrong doing. Repair was obviously not done properly, and when asked if advisor would like to see photos r returned for correction, advisor denied any wrong doing. Repair was obviously not done properly, and when asked if advisor would like to see photos refused and blamed customer of causing unrelated problems to vehicle. Terrible quality of service, lack of responsibility, and unprofessional customer service. Historically Chevrolet has relied heavily on reputation, quality of product, and quality repair but dealerships like Gilchrist are the reason General Motors is being outclassed by other products. I would be embarrassed to be associated with Gilchrist. More
Lack of detail in completing job, simplest of items overlooked. Cost in time and fuel does not justify returning to the dealer to correct. Should have done such a simple job correctly the first time. overlooked. Cost in time and fuel does not justify returning to the dealer to correct. I took my 2005 Buick Lacrosse in to find out about a problem I was having. I was charged $174.20 to have it checked out. They said it was the Hub bearings causing the problem and wanted $1200.00 plus t problem I was having. I was charged $174.20 to have it checked out. They said it was the Hub bearings causing the problem and wanted $1200.00 plus to fix it. I replaced the Hub bearings myself, but the problem didn't go away. I took it back to have it looked at again, but they wanted another $174.20. I said no way, they were wrong the first time and it should be done at no charge. I had to contact the service manager and argue my point. At first he wouldn't agree with me, but he did run it back thru to try and find the problem at no charge. I was in the waiting room when the service manager came in and asked me to step out side to talk about the problem. I'm sure he didn't want the other customer's to here what he had to say. Out side he said the problem was that I over torqued the Hub bearings. The next week I did some research and found the transmission was low on fluid, when the fluid was full the problem when away. I called the service manager and asked for my money back and to admit they were wrong. The dealership wouldn't admit they were wrong and would only return half of my money. That is why I will NEVER use them again. You wanted my review, you have it. More
