Scheduled a trans fluid filter and oil change which was 2-3 weeks out from when I made the appointment then the day or my service you guys told me that the filters where on back order. We went in to purchase a used truck with cash. We had preselected the vehicle so it was just a matter of getting title, licensing, etc handled. It took over 2 hours! (and no offer of coffee, Water) We ha preselected the vehicle so it was just a matter of getting title, licensing, etc handled. It took over 2 hours! (and no offer of coffee, Water) We had to wait over an hour for the finance guy after being told 10 minutes.. It seems his primary job is to upsell. We kept getting 5 minutes more. I finally said I was prepared to forget the whole deal. At that point the finance guy showed up. The whole ordeal left me with a very bad taste and re-enforced the bad reputation of used car dealers. I like the truck and believe it was a fair price, but had I known the process, I never would have gone to Gilchrist. Worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car sand I’m in my seventies so I’ve had a lot of experience. Horrible. 2 stars only because the salesman was friendly. More
