I needed to get my GMC truck into the shop. I called Gilchrist and explained what happened. They told me what I needed to do. So I had it towed to them to work on. Two days later I got my tru I called Gilchrist and explained what happened. They told me what I needed to do. So I had it towed to them to work on. Two days later I got my truck back. I brought my car in for a specific problem, and ended up needing another service. I agreed to do the repair for a worst case scenario dollar amount. It cost $300 more than the estimate. After my car was serviced and I picked it up, I drove about 10 minutes and the engine light came on indicating that my engine was overheating and I needed to idle my engine. I took the car back and it wa about 10 minutes and the engine light came on indicating that my engine was overheating and I needed to idle my engine. I took the car back and it was practically a ghost town at 5pm. There was a cashier and one service guy. I think his name was Justin. He looked at my car, saw that the coolant was low, which if they had put in a new radiator like they were supposed to, then the coolant should not have been low. He recommended that I not drive the vehicle. He was polite enough to put me in a loaner. This was on a Friday. On Monday I found out that the radiator had a hole in it and they were ordering a new radiator, which is what I was told the week before about the radiator. Either I didn’t get a new radiator or they received a defective one. I was without out my car for an additional 3-1/2 days. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I could have been on the freeway headed out of town instead of just a mile from the dealership. I was not happy with the service. More
