My son bought his first truck from Girard Ford in Norwich in February 2012. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I have been buying cars from over 30 years and have never seen an operation like t in February 2012. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I have been buying cars from over 30 years and have never seen an operation like this one. It was a bullying session from the moment we entered the door. George was determined to sell him a truck they just got. I must admit it was beautiful but the strong arm approach is too much. I wish I had brought a man along to handle the bullying. After waiting 3 and a half hours for our 4:15 appointment to complete the paper work for financing one night and then another 1 and a half five days later to get the license plate he finally got the truck. He has had the truck about 2 and a half weeks and it has been in for service twice. Once at their shop and another time to fix the problem they caused while repairing the door and will not accept responsibility for. The service department tried to fix a problem with the door because the bell went off every time you opened the door, key or not. There was paper work in the glove box from the previous owner with the same problem. They stopped the bell permanently accusing the past owner of doing something to the ignition. It took three days to get the job done and when I asked why, they once again accused someone else, my son of not listening to them telling him it would take that long to get the part needed. That is not true but the lies just keep coming. On the way home we noticed the heater didn’t work. We took the truck to a local garage because the distance to Girard is over 35 minutes away. They forgot to reconnect the heater fan. When I called to let them know they were angry that I brought it to someone else and refused to take responsibility for anything. The air filter was filthy and the windshield wipers were broken so we had to pay to have them replaced even though wipers are considered a safety feature and suppose to be in good working order according to DMV. Both Scott and Josh in the service department were condescending when talking to me on both occasions like I have no business asking questions. Apparently bullying is a practice throughout the building. I would not advice anyone to subject themselves to this kind of treatment. More
I test drove a 2012 F350 and purchased it. What really surprised me was how helpful the salesman was. He answered all my questions and let me and my wife take it for a test drive by ourselves. He explained the entire process and was in my new truck and on my way home in about 2 hours. Who could ask for better service than that. I would highly recommend working with Mr. Rosenthal. More
I just bought a 2006 Cadillac DTS from Girard Ford. I have to say that I am a tough SOB with what I expect from a dealership( ie Customer Service, Honesty Attentiveness). I saw this vehicle on their website and sent an email requesting information. I immediately received an email back from Larry Tassone the Internet Sales Manager. I then received a phone call from Larry to help with the questions I had. The phone call was not a sales call, no pressure tactics, just a very informal but informative call. I set up an appointment to look at the vehicle. I arrived at the dealership the vehicle was not there( no fault of the dealership just bad timing on my part). Larry and my salesperson Howard Rosenthal introduced me to George Trikas the General Manager the 3 of them immediately apologized and offered to bring the car to my house. I declined their offer, but was very impressed that they offered. I went back the next day and bought the car. I have to say everyone knows buying cars can be brutal, just down right stressful and this was not. I noticed after purchasing the car there was a mechanical issue that needed attention. I brought it in when the appointment fit my schedule and George the GM took control of the situation. He got the car in, fixed with no hassle, no cost to me, and in a very timely manner. I will say the entire process from Larry being so attentive, friendly on the first contact, to George making the deal happen to the finance person( I apologize I don't have his name) this was very positive experience. The finance person even got me a better rate than I was promised( when does that ever happen????). I will definitely buy from them again, and will recommend them to my friends and family. Promises and follow-thru after the sale? Non existent. We made calls that were never answered. Sent emails with no reply. They got their money. Both Manager Brendan Walsh and Sales Person Peter Christopher were very attentive to detail during labor intensive effort to get the truck we wanted for yard work and another means of transportation. I was very pleased and extremly satisfied with Jeff and the entire Girard Ford Staff. I would highly recomend the Girard Ford Dealership to anybody I know. They got me what I wanted, in a quick and profe the entire Girard Ford Staff. I would highly recomend the Girard Ford Dealership to anybody I know. They got me what I wanted, in a quick and professional manner (which is no small feet). Even after they had sold 2 15 passenger vans that week, they found me another one and delivered it on the date that we hd agreed upon. Jeff Howard was very friendly and understood my needs. He did everything possible to satisfy me and my families needs. He was friendly, trustworthy, and professional. I am going to buy from him again down the road and I will send all my friends and Family to him. Jeff is a great assest to the Girard FOrd family in my personal opnion. Bryce Dietz More
I have been dealing with Girard Ford for several months now and I have to tell you that I have not had a better experience with any other dealership. From the sales staff to the service people to the top d now and I have to tell you that I have not had a better experience with any other dealership. From the sales staff to the service people to the top dog this place knows how to treat people, customers or not. Even the guy that keeps the coffee flowing and the place spotless does it with a smile.... you know I swear I've herd him humming. I am not only very happy I've found Girard Ford but I would and have recommended them to many people. Thank You....And Keep It Up. Ed Moran More

I will give credit to them for fixing any safety issues that needed to be done, (had they been done to begin with, DMV would not have had to get involved) and if DMV didn't not get involved then the they would have told me to pound sand... thank you Robyn at DMV for your support.The problem still remains that they did not fix the fuel pressure regulator, therefor the car continues to stall. That is the exact problem it was returned to the dealership for the last 5 times. They continue to tell me that they have the BEST GM repair men working on the car and they know what the issue is, and replaced the crank sensor, and it will take care of the problem....NOT!!! Again, the lies... I took the car to a 3rd party to have it examined per DMV request, and the issue at hand was in writing and provided to Justin, and again he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I will make it my last effort to notify everyone I come in contact with NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH GIRARD FORD or any other dealership owned by the ANTININO family. They are con-artists, and will do anything possible to screw you in any way they can. Doesn't say much for them when their own employees admit to what they do to their customers, and share it with you. More
