I've purchased three vehicles from Willie Racine's Jeep (two used and one new). I have always loved the Jeep brand because of it's reliability and versitility. In 2007 I purchased a new Patriot right off the assembly line. I was excited with the new design and the promised savings in fuel economy, but after about 30,000 miles the car I loved started having mechanical problems. I loved my Patriot and I still think the Patriot is a great vehicle and have 3 friends with newer models who love their Jeeps, I just think I got a bad one (just my luck that with the massive amounts of vehicles coming off the assembly line I get the problem child). When the Patriot failed inspection again for the second year in a row I returned to the dealership to discuss my options. I fully expected the dealership to tell me that I was stuck with my busted up Patriot, but when I explained the situation to the folks at Willie Racine's they were super helpful in getting me into a more reliable vehicle that better fits my needs. Many of my friends are surprised that I purchased another Jeep from Willie Racine's after the experience with the Patriot, but after the way the dealership handled everything I truly believe that they would never intentionally sell an inferior product and I would recommend the Patriot to anyone who was looking, into that type of economy vehicle (maybe just stay away from the 2007's). By far, and without a doubt, the smoothest transaction I have ever had with a car dealership. Steve and I communicated over email for a week before I ever stepped foot in the dealership. By the time I came in for a test drive, I had been pre-approved for financing (on great terms) and had a ball park range for the value of my trade. After a test drive, Steve and I made an agreement on both the cost of the new car (a beautiful Jeep Grand Cherokee) and the value of my trade (which actually went UP after I showed up with the car)... without ever sitting down at his desk. We stood and chatted by the front desk while discussing prices, financing options and dates. It was the most relaxed atmosphere i've ever seen at a dealer. The car was ready to go a few days later, Steve contacted both my former bank (I sill owed an amount on my trade), took care of most of the insurance needs and even followed up a few days later. The car is headed back to the dealer for some minor issues (chancing a dash light and firming up a weld on the door frame) but Steve was extremely helpful in setting all of that up as well. Again, I've been helping my friends and parents purchase cars for years and can not stress enough how not stressful (for lack of a better phrase) this whole process with Goss (and Steve) was. More
