Great all-around experience We stopped in to the dealership a few months ago for a test drive of a vehicle, but we weren't yet ready to buy. Last week, the hard-to-find car I'd b We stopped in to the dealership a few months ago for a test drive of a vehicle, but we weren't yet ready to buy. Last week, the hard-to-find car I'd been looking for popped up on their website. We went in and met with Duane Blair. He was patient and kind and let us drive a couple of different vehicles for comparison purposes. We talked with him after the drives and he was low-pressure, let us talk it through with him and in private and let us sleep on the decision over the weekend (spending lots of money makes me break out in a sweat and feel nauseous, so I move slowly on big purchases). He didn't try to persuade us into one vehicle over another and was respectful of our budget when we went in on Monday to talk numbers. We ended up purchasing the car yesterday. He was great at walking us through everything and working with us as reasonably as could be expected on price. I keep cars f.o.r.e.v.e.r. so this was a relatively new experience for me, but one in which I truly appreciate the low-key atmosphere that made this sale possible. I've been in the market for a new vehicle for a while now and I've been so sick of the service and the "classic salesman" attitude. I don't like wasting anyone's time but Christina approached while I was just walking the lot and for the first time since I've been in the market I was approached not as a "potential buyer" but a human being. The subject of cars didn't even come up for the first five minutes that we talked and I felt like I wasn't pressured to commit or get out. It was just a "let's find you a vehicle" but a full experience where Christina listened to my needs and gave me even better insight as to what some even better options would be. I dont know anything about selling cars, but I do know that what I experienced that day is the reason this fine woman, and I would even venture to say their whole staff, is top notch and successful at what they do. Mom told him her price range and he was extremely patient and professional while showing her different models within her budget. She ended up buying a 2018 Tiguan and is very satisfied and pleased with her purchase. The entire staff at GJ Volkswagen were very professional and friendly. The best part about our experience is that Duane listened to what my mom was looking for, he was extremely patient, zero pressure, and she walked away with an awesome car that she LOVES!!! He has even called us twice just to follow up and ask if she had any questions and to see how she is liking her new car.
