Good experience I worked with Nealy via email to get a good price on a new Forester, put down a deposit, and then came in to pick up the car a couple weeks later. Got 5 hours to wait and want to spend a lot of extra money? This was the worst shopping experience I've had buying a Subaru. Despite making an appointment, Daniel literally just left us at his desk for hours, This was the worst shopping experience I've had buying a Subaru. Despite making an appointment, Daniel literally just left us at his desk for hours, checking in only enough to entice us to wait 'just a few more minutes'. That should have been my clue to leave. Next clue to leave was when he kept coming back with prices that included extra services I didn't ask for. Or when they low-balled my trade. (Thank goodness for CarMax. Never go to a dealer without having a Carmax quote in hand. ) And finally when the finance lady shorted the trade by $300 claiming taxes. (Illinois allows trade in tax credit, so tax should NOT have been taken from my trade. Google states-that-allow-trade-in-tax-credit.) In the end we got the car my wife wanted, but yikes. We took two test drives, one on an Outback that was handy, the next on the one that had everything we wanted. We got there at 10:30 am and didn't leave until 4!!!! I've had warranty service done here before and the experience was fine. Good even... But I WILL NEVER BUY from Grand Subaru again. EVER. More
