~15 year customer who's seen dealership make significant improvements over the years, but sales experience of 5th Subaru resulted in the 6th sale going to another Subaru dealership. The service department h improvements over the years, but sales experience of 5th Subaru resulted in the 6th sale going to another Subaru dealership. The service department has exhibited consistent improvement over the years, but my most recent visit left me unimpressed. The vehicle in question was purchased from Granite Subaru and has only been serviced there, with scheduled service prepaid for the first 36k miles. This most recent visit was for a scheduled service plus one additional inquiry about a noise. My disappointment from this visit is attributed to three things: 1. An additional service which apparently should have been done as part of the 30k or 36k service intervals (and therefore would have been covered by the prepaid interval) but they had no record of performing it so it was done now at additional cost. 2. Diagnosis of the noise resulting in an "recommendation" for a $2700 replacement of an otherwise functioning assembly. This replacement is ultimately unnecessary and was more of an "option" than an actual "recommendation". 3. After getting notification of these recommendations, I had to go seek out the service representative to get explanations of the brief service notes as opposed to the service agent coming to me in the waiting room of the dealership. The waiting room is functional and comfortable with reliable WiFi and the service scheduling and check-in processes are quick and convenient, but my overall experience this time was average. More
