Worst Experience Ever! Avoid At ALL Costs! I had an 11:00 appointment for an inspection and a complimentary car wash. Admittaly, I was three minutes late checking in because Wendover narrowed to one lane about a block before their business. In spite of the construction, I did call about 10:50, letting them know that I would be most likely late. They stated it wasn't a problem, as many others had the same issue. But, it took over TWO HOURS for the inspection and they did NOT do the carwash. The service guy said it was because they had to put the car on the lift to do the emissions check. Then, they wanted $30 for a windshield wiper, and $800 for tires. I'm sorry Green Ford, but I can buy new wiper refills for about $7 apiece, and new wiper arms with the blade for around $10 each. Tires are under $100 mounted from the expensive place, for name brand tires, less for good, but still well known branded tires. They failed my car for these two issues, but after going to two other state inspection stations, the other stations said that the car would pass without issue, and I asked specifically about the wipers and tires, citing that the dealer had issues with them. The tires look almost brand new, as they have less than 5,000 miles on them, so the tread is in great condition. Not sure how they came to the conclusion that the tires failed the inspection. So, I had it inspected at one of those stations, losing the $23.50 I paid at Green Ford, just to avoid going back for another two hour wait. And, had I not inquired at the service desk about 12:30, it would have taken even longer, in my opinion. It took half an hour for my paperwork to make it from the service desk to the cashier's desk so I could pay. The two desks are only separated by panes of glass. Perhaps because I'm a female, they thought I'd pay their outrageous prices. However, they misjudged me. I know cars, and can do many repairs myself. But, after two hours for a darn inspection when I had an appointment, and they didn't do the carwash (the whole reason I had made the appointment with them four or five days prior), I refuse to go back. At other dealerships, and independent garages, even without an appointment, I can be in and out in under thirty minutes without issues, even less with an appointment. With seven other cars, I have experience getting vehicles inspected every year- half in October, half in April. What they did, disregarding the value of my time, not respecting me, not completing all the work, and trying to ply me with inflated costs is totally unacceptable on all levels. They stated they did the carwash, but, with the car being green from pollen going in, wiper marks still on the windshield, and bird droppings targeted on the hood, a greasy fingerprint that appeared after the inspection on the door, it's obvious they didn't bother doing that simple act of a wash either. The service guy stated the inspection took so long because they had to put the car on a lift. If that’s the case, why don’t other places do it? And, why don’t other places take TWO HOURS to do a state inspection? At the place I did get the truck inspected, they were inspecting a car upon my arrival, and there was another ahead of me. In spite of that, I paid, and was out in under 33 minutes, and a lift was never involved. Green Ford is dirty, underhanded, and willing to cheat and lie at every level to get your every last dime. I’d rather drive 24 hours straight to a random Ford dealer that is honest, rather than go back to Green Ford ever again. Outright lying to a customer leaves you with zero credibility over something so small as a car wash, or the time it takes to inspect a vehicle. If they’re lying about that, how can you tell when they’re telling the truth about major issues? Fortunately, there are other options in town, that are honest, and don’t inflate their prices. And the $23.50? Writing it off as a lesson learned, as I refuse to go back. Funny how two random other places inspected the same car, from beginning to end, and it passed, no repairs needed. More
