Robert: I would first like to apologize that we were unsuccessful in earning you business. I have reviewed every step of the process. I have printed out every e-mail correspondence , as our system time stamps and saves all communication. First, the All-New 20011 Kia Optima is a wonderful vehicle and is by far our most desirable product to date. The Optima is in very limited availability and obviously is priced thousands below it's competition. That being said on your first visit to the store two Sunday's ago you test drove the vehicle and we offered to provide some numbers for you to consider. We presented numbers to you at the list price, which does have an addendum sticker and we also showed you over retail for your vehicle that you did not have at the dealership that day, something commonly know as a "blind" appraisal; offering you $9500. You stated you were not certain what you wanted to do and left. The following day, Monday the 14 of March you e-mailed Kris Atega my internet manager and stated you had a price from another dealer at invoice plus the $500 competitive rebate that they did not include but you knew you qualified for it. Kris' e-mail back to says we would match the other dealers quote of invoice(dealer cost), however, we never said we would give you the $9500 for your trade-in that we had never seen. When you became upset at the offer on your trade my General Manager told you he would still be very happy to honor the price of invoice on our car and that you could simply sell your trade to Carmax. Honestly, to buy the hottest selling product we have at invoice was a true opportunity which we are still willing to honor. We simply cannot sell our New Vehicle at dealer cost and pay over retail for your vehicle. I would love to still have your business and will still honor the price we agreed to on our vehicle. Thank you for your consideration in Orlando Kia. Sincerely and respectfully, Joseph Rossi- Owner

I appreciate you offer Joseph, but will have to decline as you have lost me and my wifeas customers. I realize you were not present at the face to face meetings I had with your sales associates, but I assure you that what was described above was accurate as to what occurred at this location and deceptive sales techniques are previlent at this dealership. What you fail to understand is that the offer on the trade was not the primary issue with my bad experience at your dealership. Issue #1 was the deceptive techniques used by the sales associates and the lack of transparency when requesting to see the actaul invoice to validate the sales price shown on the in person offer. Issue #2 was the claim that the dealership was going to withold a $500 competitive rebate that Kia was offering. I had no issue with selling my car to carmax for what it was worth, but I refuse to give my business to operations like this out of pure priciple. Once again I appreciate your offer and attempt to resolve, but I have already made a new vehicle purchase at a dealer that treated me as a customer with respect, honesty and transparency. Reading your response again I still feel that you do not see any issue in the way your business operates with the series of justifications you have placed into your response. I hope I am wrong and you sincerely evaluate your sales practices at this location because I feel it will ultimately hurt your business in the long run.

Robert: Thanks for taking the time to respond. I value the integrity in which all three of my stores conduct their business and I,m very sorry that we were unable to earn your business. As far as the deceptive business practices I,m still very unclear on that accusation and I,m actively involved at all three locations on a daily basis. At your request we agreed to sell you the vehicle at invoice which you stated was offered by another dealership and therefore I presume you were aware of the invoice price? The competitive rebate comes from Kia and the dealership cannot withhold it, nor would we benefit from doing that. Again, I truly apologize and certainly wish things would have turned out different. It would have been great to see you in a Kia!! Good luck to you and your family and your new vehicle. Sincerely and respectfully, Joseph D. Rossi- Owner

Thank you Joseph. I too was unclear as to what the benefit would have been to withold the rebate, but I assure you it was done; if you have record of the paperwork offered to me you'll clearly see that the rebate was not listed on that offer. The sales associate pointed out they wanted to keep it and it wouldn't be part of the offer. Requesting to see the invoice was to better understand why I had a descrepancy in the invoice price of approximately $800 from what I had researched. I hope this helps you understand my experience better and I too wish you the best of luck.
