Unfortunately, many facts have been left out of this review. This customer was sent to us here at Greg May Honda by Honda corporate to diagnose her SRS light she was experiencing on her Honda Civic. It was explained to you that if the SRS light was due to a recall there would be no charge for the repair. As explained in the email to you from Honda corporate that if it is another issue not pertaining to the recall there would be a $170 diagnostic fee. You have never been to our dealership before and no history of any visits to any other Honda dealerships. You were advised on what repairs would be necessary to fix your vehicle but you declined.

Actually what was explained to me by corporate prior to coming in was that if the error message did not come on for the dealership, then there would be a $170 diagnostic fee. The error message was on when I pulled up for service and I left my car running out in the parking lot while finding someone to assist me inside the service area. I showed the service rep the error light and she agreed that there would be no fee since the error light was on. And yes, I absolutely declined the overpriced repairs that were quoted to me. I have been to this exact dealership prior to this visit with my Honda Accord under my maiden name. And that time the warranty work was done but almost $8000 of additional repairs were quoted and declined and fixed at another shop for under $1000. I was ready to buy a new Honda but your service department has made me reconsider this decision. I am curious what facts were left out of this review. I was told if the error light came on for the issue under warranty, there would be no charge. The error light came on stating "Check airbag system". No where on the error light does it say drivers side or passengers side. You need to be more specific and state that there still may be a charge since the error light does not specify which side. Also 4 days to run a diagnostic on a car is ridiculous.
