I was impressed by their customer service - very professional and never once did I feel uncomfortable with the process. Since this was my first car purchase, Roger was very generous with his time answering all of my questions. He went out of his way to meet all of my expectations and ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. Gunn also made a very generous offer on my trade-in which sealed the deal. I highly recommend you visit them and ask for Roger. This is my second Honda...I drove my first accord up to 212,000 miles with no major maintenance issues. Very reliable cars. Took my car to be appraised at Gunn Honda dealer in san antonio, tx. The appraisal was fair, but not enough for what i needed the money for. So i took another car of mine, got it appraised and decided to sell to them. Because the car was in both my husband and my name, i had to go back another time, ok. Went back again, after some waiting and many coffees (all the sales people are very nice, open the door for you and offer coffee and water all the time...) gave them all keys, title, and we were called to sign the paperwork. In the mean time, they took the license plates off and the inspection sticker from the car. After all that was done, the financial person put copies of the paperwork in an envelope and gave to us, saying: "all is set, here is your paperwork". We said, surprised, because we were still expecting to receive our payment....: "ok, and is our check inside the envelope as well??" "Oh, you will get that in the mail in 2 to 3 weeks from now..." "Excuse me?", was our answer, very shocked as you can imagine, because nobody had told us about that little 'detail' in any of the 4 visits we did to the dealer.... After our obvious disappointment and irritation reaction with the situation, the rude appraisal person (Ryan something is his name) said to my husband: "I don't need you car that bad to have you yelling at me, sir, here is you title back, you can go to carmax if you want.", like he was doing us a big favor in buying our car... The sales person who conducted the whole transaction, mr. francis macias, said "what did you expect? to be paid in cash??" No, mr. francis, we did expect a check, but not after 3 weeks!! We obviously took all the paperwork (and the car) back and will not ever step there again! All we want is to be well informed about how a business is conducted and honestly we never heard of selling your car and have to wait up to 3 weeks to get paid!! Thank you so much Honda Gunn for wasting our time!! More
I would not drive the 20 plus miles to get service on my car if it wasn't for her. She takes care of me and my car. When I was on a trip recently and had problems in another state I went to a Honda dealer car if it wasn't for her. She takes care of me and my car. She gave me some questions to ask. I didn't like the answers so I brought my car back to San Antonio and had Gunn fix it. I knew it was going to be done right. I also like working with a woman. I dropped by Gunn Honda recently for routine maintenance and Phillip Kotrola has been my go-to point of contact since I bought my car from this dealership. As always, Phillip conducted himself with the utmost professionalism and courtesy when working with me and the customers immediately before me. In my humble opinion, I think Phillip's people skills and quick thinking make him an asset to Gunn Honda. In terms of an applied example (beyond routine maintenance) that stands out in my memory, I recall having odd, audible vibrations in the engine bay of my Honda and wasn't sure what it was. I searched the internet to see what the range of problems could be and, more practically, how much it'd cost to fix. What I found online wasn't good news: drivers of similar vehicles with the same problem could not resolve the issue at their respective Honda dealerships. Upon dropping by Gunn Honda to inquire about the vibrations, Phillip greeted me within a minute of pulling up to the service station. Phillip carefully listened to me as I spoke about the engine vibrations and, with prior internet findings in mind, I nervously watched to see what his reaction was. Without skipping a beat, Phillip said "Oh, you might have a broken motor mount. I'll check it out". Within moments, Phillip took my vehicle to the service station and the repair was complete within one hour's time - very fast turnaround considering that I also had an oil change and tire rotation. It turns out that the motor mount was, indeed, broken. The new motor mount eliminated the vibrations I encountered earlier and the replacement cost was covered under warranty. I'll definitely be back! More

Ever since we bought a used Camry from him about 18 months ago, we go to him first whenever we are looking for a vehicle. Freeman knows not only the inventory on the Gunn Honda lot but the inventory on every Gunn lot. He only cares about selling you the car you need, not the one he wants to sell you. If everyone in every profession had the ethics and professionalism of Freeman Sparks, there would be no need for consumer protection agencies, Better Business Bureaus, etc. The only reason I gave the dealership a 4 on overall experience is that it took a while for our car to be ready to drive off the lot once we had bought it, but it was a Saturday -- the busiest day at a car dealer. However, if I had to choose between waiting a while at a table in the dealership after purchase or waiting for a salesman to "consult" with his manager about price, I'll wait at the table every time. More

One dealership actually told me, "this isn't Gunn" and another, Benson Honda, sucked. We are a military family who are implants here so we do not get a chance to see the history of dealerships but looking at the reviews from other customers, Gunn Honda will be around for a long time. Prices are great and my salesman, Freeman Sparks, actually bent over backwards for us. We did not get pressured at any time and they actually went above and beyond. American Honda should be happy to have Gunn Honda as one of their dealerships. They are good enough to come back to them after moving away to experience this again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and if you are looking for a car, GO SEE FREEMAN! More
If the goal of the Gunn Honda dealership was to prevent me from getting oil changes at their dealership....it worked.....Using their express service it took me 2 hours to get just a oil change. Late last night I made inquiries on their web site just out of couriosity . I got a call this morning from James and told him my looking was just a pipe dream because I live on disability. I drove a 2008 out of couriosity . I got a call this morning from James and told him my looking was just a pipe dream because I live on disability. I drove a 2008 Toyoya Tundra and was looking for something smaller. I also explained to him that I had no money and would not be able to make payments. He came out to my home within an hour to take a look and see what he could do for me on a used vehicle. He was able to put me in a 2006 Hundai Tucson and I am even getting money back. Everything at the dealersip was very efficient and even knowing my money situation was treated with the same respect as if I was buying their top of the line. More

None of that back and forth haggling with the "man in the back room" about prices. It's simple and brilliant. I'll admit I do not like car salesman, never met one I did, until now. Mike Lents sure changed my mind about that. He treated me like I mattered and was absolutely up front about everything. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely a nice guy. I'm sending anyone I know that is looking for a car, to him. Heck, even if they aren't looking for a car, I tell them about him and my experience at Gunn Honda and to pass on the word. THANK YOU MIKE. And he is also retired Navy, so thank you for your service to our country. You can't get any better than that. We have now become a Honda family and proud of it. I love my CR-V. More
