Straightforward buying experience If you're looking for a no-nonsense buying experience and already know what you are looking for, and want a good price this is the place to go. Alex If you're looking for a no-nonsense buying experience and already know what you are looking for, and want a good price this is the place to go. Alex was very easy to get a long with, made me feel very comfortable during the test drive, and made sure the vehicle was ready when I got there. Andre in the appointment group was also very accomodating as I was driving in from out of town. Observations and Recommendations: Hgreg is very upfront about being a hi-volume dealer, calling themselves the "Costco of used cars". You should expect a that kind of experience, not that its a bad thing, just keep in mind this place moves more cars in a day than most of your local dealers move in a month. With that they'll have a much better selection than anywhere you've likely shopped before. I highly recommend you know what you want before you get there, review the selection online before going (and check often as they move around 100 cars per day and stock changes quickly). Take the time to schedule an appointment and provide them with the Stock #'s of cars you're interested in, even on a slow day this place is crowded. A very important note is that these cars are sold AS-IS, so its important to know what you are buying, they do after a 3 day no questions asked return, so if it quits on the way home, you're ok there. You can buy extended warranties on the vehicle (some vehicles may have some manufacturers warranty left if very new), but these are no means inexpensive as the underwriter is assuming a good bit of risk with an as-is vehicle. If you're uncomfortable not having a warranty, you can buy a warranty, but as with any dealer you'll need to set aside a few thousand dollars to buy the warranty or include it in your financing. Before you go, inform yourself about what car you want, and what to look for when checking out the vehicle. More
