Healthcare Worker Oil Change During the early parts of the Covid-19 epidemic Mazda was giving free oil changes to healthcare workers. Well done Mazda! Or so I thought. I booked my During the early parts of the Covid-19 epidemic Mazda was giving free oil changes to healthcare workers. Well done Mazda! Or so I thought. I booked my oil change about a week in advance. The gentleman I spoke with asked for some information which I gave. I also told him the car was in my wife's name because she has better credit than I do so we were able to get a better loan at when we bought the car and that she is a teacher not a healthcare worker. He said no problem, see you next week. When I arrived into the dealership I was greeted by a few people, all very nice. They asked for some info: driver's license, license plate, mileage, etc. When they saw my wife's name on the registration they said I would need her work ID in order to get the free oil change. Since she was the owner of the car I wouldn't be able to get the free oil change. What? We live in the same house with the same last name! It's not like I was trying to game the system and get my neighbor or relative a free oil change just because I could. They said the best they could do is split the oil change with me since corporate wouldn't reimburse them. I went with that since it was super early in the morning and I had already traveled to get the oil change. but why wasn't this brought up when I booked the oil change the week prior? It would've saved me the trip and the aggravation and I would've just brought my car somewhere locally. They were also supposed to do a cleaning of the interior and that was never done. This was a very disappointing experience for me as I've had issues in the past with taking my other vehicles to dealerships for service. I doubt I will be back here again. More
Prices high compared to other services the prices seem to pretty high compared to other services. Took my vehicle in to have recall work serviced and was told to pick up the vehicle the next day. Called to see if vehicle was ready but it was not. They failed to inform me of the delay on parts and repai told to pick up the vehicle the next day. Called to see if vehicle was ready but it was not. They failed to inform me of the delay on parts and repair time. Really just wished I was informed to be better prepared for being a week without a vehicle. Before you ask, no loaner was offered. However service was completed and the car was in better shape. Overall just happy to have a car again. Would be five stars had I been informed of the delay. Communication with clients is very important to maintain a returning clientele. More
