Mr. Sneed I truly appolgize for your recent sales experience at my dealership. In the last couple days we have spoken to the dealership where your Tacoma is at. Nate in service has assured us he would have a rental car avaible for you tonight 1/29/14 at no charge while they repair your truck. I have also instructed Bob Genet to pay your request in full for your plane ticket, rental and fuel. You should see a check by next week. We do try and create a truly exceptional sales experience to all of our guests. I’m sorry your experience was unpleasent. Obvoiusly if you lived near by we could of handled things diffrently. There are serval learning opportunity’s for me and my staff to gain from this. Trust me, we will train and hold staff accountable for what has happened. Again, from me and my team. We are sorry. I hope you find acceptable the $550 reinbusment for your expenses. If I can be of further assistance please feel free to email me back. Regards; Chaz

TRUCK STILL NOT REPAIRED. I picked the truck up from Jim Norton Toyota on Friday, Janurary 31, 2014 and it still has not been repaired. The truck is doing the same exact thing. Jim Norton has become nasty with me and said I could take my business somewhere else "and don't blame us we didn't sell you the truck" was their response. Thanks Hatch Toyota.

Mr. Sneed contacted our Dealership via E-mail in the middle of January 2014 regarding a 2014 Toyota Tacoma, double cab, 4x4, V6, with a manual transmission that we had in our inventory. This truck was very unique in the fact that there were only 6 of them in the entire country at the time of his inquiry. This Tacoma’s “birth date” was 11/12/2013. Hatch Toyota was not the originating dealer, and we purchased this vehicle from Durango Toyota on 12/12/13. Mr. Sneed took delivery on January 25, 2014; making this Tacoma 44 days old at the time that it left Hatch Toyota’s facility. Toyota’s uncompromising commitment to building quality, reliable, and long lasting vehicles gives dealers like Hatch Toyota the confidence to promise our customers unrelenting satisfaction with their new vehicle purchase. That being said, All Toyota Dealers perform what is referred to as a “pre-delivery inspection” or (PDI) on every new vehicle that is shipped from the manufacturer. This process is performed by a certified technician, and takes place before the vehicle is eligible for sale. Because Hatch Toyota was not the originating dealer of the above mentioned Tacoma, the “PDI” was performed by a fellow Toyota Dealer Durango Toyota. When the new Tacoma was delivered by freight to our facility, this brand new Tacoma was lowered off the trailer and driven to its position on the lot. No issues with the clutch were noticed at this time. Taking the above facts into consideration, when Mr. Sneed’s contact at Hatch Toyota (Miss Barr) told Mr. Sneed, “of course it’s perfect! It’s a brand new truck!” she was simply basing her conversation on the fact that we sell thousands of new cars, many of them purchased from other dealer’s, 99% of them arrive and leave here in perfect condition. As you can imagine our dealership doesn’t frequently have customers who fly in from across the country to purchase vehicles. Miss Barr never thought twice about test driving the Tacoma before Mr. Sneed’s arrival, because it was a brand-new truck. Upon Mr. Sneed’s arrival at Hatch Toyota late in the afternoon, on Saturday January 25th, 2014 he was introduced to Miss Barr, and the Internet Manager Jamison Paredes. During the test drive Mr. Sneed noticed a squeak in the clutch. As soon as they returned to the dealership from the test drive, the vehicle was immediately taken into the service department. The Tacoma was inspected by a Certified Technician. Our initial inspection indicated that a bushing needed to be lubed, which the technician performed, and also that there could be an issue with the clutch assembly. In order for the entire repair to be completed, parts would have to be ordered. Hatch Toyota offered to order the parts and have the expedited in order to have the truck fully repaired on Monday. Unfortunately, because Mr. Sneed did not have permission to be off of his base in Oklahoma, this was not an option for him, he needed to leave that night in order to get back to Oklahoma. At this point, the dealership was aware of the clutch issue, it wasn’t that we didn’t want to fix the Tacoma, or refused to fix the Tacoma, we simply did not have the parts on hand to complete the repair. The options were presented to Mr. Sneed advising him, that with the bushing greased, the squeak temporarily subsides, giving him the option to take delivery of the truck and drive it back to Oklahoma where we trust that a certified Toyota dealer would be sufficiently able to perform the necessary warranty work to correct the problem; or he could refuse to take delivery of the truck. This infuriated Mr. Sneed. He proceeded to throw the keys into the cup holder, and yell obscenities at Mr. Paredes, making an already tense situation even more uncomfortable. Understandably Mr. Sneed was upset; His actions however, were very unbecoming of a Military Service Member. Our staff was very apologetic, certainly trying to amend this unforeseen situation, not in any way was Hatch Toyota trying to force Mr. Sneed into anything, or refusing to try and help him. Undoubtedly, Mr. Sneed’s decision to take delivery of the truck was due to the vehicles uniqueness, and also his situation of needing to get back to Oklahoma. After Mr. Sneed made the decision to take delivery of the truck, Mr. Paredes told Mr. Sneed that he would call him the following week to ensure that the sufficient warranty work had been performed, and to also discuss reimbursing him for travel expenses to alleviate the hassle that this unanticipated problem had caused. We were contacted by an enraged Mr. Sneed on Tuesday January 28th, He had taken his new Tacoma to Jim Norton Toyota in Lawton, OK and they were refusing to give him a rental car while his vehicle was repaired. Our General Sales Manager contacted Jim Norton Toyota to resolve the rental car situation, while we offered to pay for the rental car, it was our understanding that their rental fleet was very limited due to severe weather conditions on that day, and they were doing their best to accommodate Mr. Sneed, who was also making demands and obscene remarks to their staff. Hatch Toyota was not present when Jim Norton Toyota inspected Mr. Sneed’s Tacoma. We don’t know what their technician concluded, nor do we know why it took them a week to unsatisfactorily complete the clutch repair on the Tacoma. The Service Director of Jim Norton Toyota has informed us, that they no longer want to have any contact with Mr. Sneed due to his irrational, uncouth behavior. Hatch Toyota can’t control the outcome of other dealership experiences, and refers customers to other Toyota Dealerships with good intentions. We hope that Jim Norton Toyota has the same desire to satisfy their customer’s 100% with the upmost integrity. Mr. Chaz Hatch, owner of Hatch Toyota spoke to Mr. Sneed on February 7th, 2014. He explained to Mr. Sneed that Hatch Toyota doesn’t build the vehicles here, we only sell them. We hav

I am not going to sit here and allow Hatch Toyota to bloviate complete lies about my current dispute with Toyota for their inability to repair my truck. First of all, I never yelled obscenities targeted at Mr. Peredes. I may have used some strong language out of frustration, but nothing beyond the scope of understandable frustration. Secondly, I did not call Hatch Toyota at all after the purchase until I spoke to Mr. Hatch on 7 February 2014. The General Manager-Bob Genet called me after I left a complaint on a dealer rater website. He called me a total of 7 times. I was not rude nor did I use inappropriate language towards Mr. Genet. Thirdly, Jim Norton has not refused service to me. They have my vehicle in their possession attempting to repair the clutch issue as of 24FEB2014. Lastly, Mr. Peredes never called the week after the purchase as he promised. The GM called as stated above only after my complaint. It sickens me to think that Hatch Toyota is fabricating lies and telling half truths to discredit a customer for their own narcissistic gain. I understand that you no longer want to do business with me, but my main focus going forward is to ensure that no other service member gets treated the way I have been treated. We in the military make due with very little disposable income, and with the little we do have we expect to be treated with decency when making a purchase of this magnitude.
