I have been a Cadillac and GM owner for nearly 30 years, and I have held off writing a review of Hawk Cadillac of Joliet because I wanted to give the dealership and its leadership every opportunity to addre and I have held off writing a review of Hawk Cadillac of Joliet because I wanted to give the dealership and its leadership every opportunity to address the problems I experienced. Unfortunately, the latest situation is the final straw. My experience with Hawk started with the purchase of my 2025 Cadillac XT6. There were problems with dealer installed/LPO options that should have been handled correctly before the vehicle was delivered. Rather than Hawk taking ownership and getting everything properly resolved, GM ultimately had to become involved, and another Cadillac dealership ended up correcting the problems. Issues can happen with any vehicle or dealership. What I find unacceptable is how those issues are handled afterward. That responsibility ultimately falls on the leadership of the dealership. Communication, accountability and follow through should come from the top, and unfortunately those have been consistently lacking in my dealings with Hawk. I have now traded the XT6 and simply need to cancel the GM backed extended warranty I purchased through Hawk and receive the applicable prorated refund. This should be one of the easiest administrative matters a dealership handles. I have called, been transferred to Finance, left messages, followed up and even reached out to dealership leadership in writing. I cannot even get the courtesy of a return phone call or email. That is what finally prompted this review. After nearly 30 years of owning Cadillac and GM vehicles, I have dealt with plenty of dealerships and understand that mistakes happen. I do not expect perfection. I do expect a Cadillac dealership, particularly its leadership, to stand behind the products it sells, communicate with its customers and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Having GM step in to help resolve issues, having another Cadillac dealership correct problems associated with the original purchase, and now being unable to get anyone at Hawk to respond to a straightforward warranty cancellation request is simply unacceptable. I genuinely wanted to avoid writing a negative review and gave Hawk every opportunity to change my opinion of the experience. Unfortunately, being ignored when all I am asking for is assistance canceling a warranty they sold me has made that impossible. Such an unfortunate experience with a Cadillac dealership, and after nearly three decades as a loyal Cadillac and GM customer, I expected considerably better. More

Went in for diagnostics. Salesperson swooped in and tried to sell me something I wasn't interested in buying.
