Situation with a transmission General Motors handling of this situation (transmission held hostage in a warehouse in Michigan) was totally and completely unacceptable. HOWEVER, I could not have asked for more from Hawthorne Chevy on how they did the best that they could in this unfortunate disaster. Mr. Michael Rivera was wonderful through the entire process. He was understanding, supportive and knew enough not to give me lip service. His honesty and transparency was most appreciated. The manager of the Service center also was understanding. I imagine this situation wasn’t pleasant front their end either. Give Mr. Rivera a bonus for this...he deserves it! More

Best First Experience! My car happened to die right around the corner from Hawthorne Chevrolet. It was the easiest process for my 1st experience buying a car. The staff were so friendly and they really catered to ALL my questions. I was able to get the make/model/color that I wanted and the whole process took less than 30 minutes between when I signed the papers and when I was able to drive off in my brand new car! Tom Verheeck took the time to go over all the new upgraded features in the Chevy Equinox as I was not used to having such a high tech car (let alone a car with working brakes and AC!). Carrie explained everything to me step by step as I signed multiple items on her awesome DocuPad which made the experience even more high-tech. I didn't feel overwhelmed even though this was my first 'REAL' adult purchase. I'm in love with my new car and now actually prefer driving over being the passenger! More
