My experiences at Hawthorne Chevrolet have been frustrating and anger inducing. I leases a brand new Chevy Trax from Hawthorne Chevrolet on Friday September 22nd. After spending hours negotiating, our deal went to the business manager for final approval. At this time, we found out that the payment for the vehicle was going up approximately $40 a month. The business manager tried to blame this on my husband and I not having adequate credit (which was not actually the case). When we left the showroom and headed back to our car, the salesman cane out to let us know that the business manager had found magic coupons to use in order to restore our original deal. Unfortunately we took the car home that night. The next day we noticed large spots of oil on our driveway. Our brand new 2024 Trax was leaking. On Monday 9/22, the car was towed back to the dealership and the problem was identified as a faulty gasket in the rear main seal of the engine. A very serious problem which they have no idea when they can fix due to parts shortages and the auto workers' union strike. As of yesterday my car has been sitting at the dealership. The people working at this dealership have not reached out pr offered any solutions. More
