Kenny Beavers at Hendrick Toyota of Apex is the man. I originally had a deposit down at a different dealership, but moved it to Hendrick after realizing just how far the other dealership was. I have had my eye on the grand highlander since I heard Toyota would be releasing one. It’s been a long wait, and I don’t think I have ever been so happy. I’ve had my eye on the Platinum Hybrid, black exterior, portobello interior. After the first 6 months or so with Hendrick, I resigned myself to any color interior, so long as all the other specs were the same. When Kenny finally told me one was coming, the interior was a light grey; I’m like, ok, I said any interior, I’ll take it. A week later, I decide, no, I want the portobello…I’ve waited this long, whats some more wait time (deposit at this point was down well over a year). It wasn’t too much time later, I get a message saying my car is coming in. For real this time. I’m freaking out. I’m pumped. I’m like…whats the interior? Light grey. Ughhhh. Kenny tells me that he thinks I’m really going to like it though, and that he’d let me know when it comes in so I could make a final decision. He was NOT wrong! He knows me better than I know myself, apparently. The light grey…doesn’t even look like light grey. I don’t even know how to explain the color; not cream, not beige, but not light grey either. What you see on the Toyota website is light grey. The color I have, just, *chefskiss*. I. Am. Obsessed! But back to the point. Kenny could have thrown me to the wolves forever ago, or just told me he can’t help. Despite my downright incessant badgering, he always responded right away, and always a clear communicator. I feel it is also necessary to point out, that I once I’m set on something, I’m not going to budge on it. Just a change in interior was a huge thing. Could I have gotten another grand highlander a long time ago? Probably. But the amount of settling I would have had to do…I’d honestly be miserable. Instead, Kenny Beavers was amazing and a huge advocate in me getting what I wanted. Every time I set foot in my car, I am so happy, and say a silent thank you to Kenny. More
