Hi there, I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience at our dealership. Typically, a deal is considered closed only after the completion of a purchase, where all finance items are in order and you have possession of your keys. I have never personally heard of anyone at our dealership requiring additional money after a deal has closed, but rest assured, it most certainly will never happen in the future. It is possible that there was some miscommunication regarding our dealer fees or the state fees for tax, tags and title. These fees are always posted at our dealership and should be made clear by your sales associate and/or finance agent. That being said, we will definitely be passing a friend reminder to our entire team to ensure these fees are being disclosed. I want to believe no one would use tactics you described to take advantage of a customer or consider anyone a 'moron', but I will not diminish the fact that this is how you felt. That alone is completely unacceptable. Since 2006, much has changed at the dealership. We have a new general manager and a new directive we adhere to for our business. We strongly believe that such an investment as buying a car should be a fun, well informed decision and transparent across the breadth of the process. More importantly, we are listening now and learning from our transgressions. I've seen this dealership grow considerably over the short 3 months I have been here.
