Herb Chambers BMW of Boston - Service Center

On Jan 3rd 2011, between the 6th and 7th floors of the Childrens Hospital Parking Garage, myself, my family and my car were faced with a dire situation. At about 3pm I returned to my 1995 BMW 525i to fin Childrens Hospital Parking Garage, myself, my family and my car were faced with a dire situation. At about 3pm I returned to my 1995 BMW 525i to find that I was unable to start the car. Not only that, but the key no longer unlocked the steering wheel or the transmission. So basically the key did nothing except turn. My parents got me the gift of AAA, so I attempted to use their services. Four hours, a cracked steering column, two locksmiths, and two tow trucks later I was still stuck. You see I created the ‘Perfect Storm’ with regards to my untowability. My car is rear wheel drive, my front tires were turned hard over at a 45deg angle, and I was in a low clearance garage on the 7th floor. Any one factor could be removed and I could have been towed, but all three made my car a 1 ½ Ton paperweight. I called BMW Peabody a few times trying to get help and to see if they knew of anyway to get my car unstuck. They balked and told me I was out of solutions. It was maddening, how could over a half dozen professionals tell me my car is forever stuck in a Hospital garage. I have a special needs child and I come to the hospital regularly and I only have one car so this situation was so frustrating. Someone mentioned Herb Chambers BMW and that I should give them a call. I didn’t feel that it would be promising but I was out of ideas. So I called at about 7pm, closing time, and was lucky enough to cross paths with Dan. Dan listened to my situation, and actually cared to help, unlike most of the others that were supposed to be there to help. He said that the techs went home for the day but he would find a solution for me and get back to me first thing the next day. Promptly at 8am the next day I got a call from Dan saying that he is ordering the part I need and secured a tech to come out to my car and get me underway. I almost fainted with unexpected joy. The day the part came in I met Edwin and Joe on the 7th floor of the garage. Edwin worked a minor miracle as Joe and I held flashlights like professionals. After a few hours my over three day ordeal was over. They are amazing people at Herb Chambers BMW and all I really have to give is word of mouth. I am spreading the good word about Herb Chambers and I thank them for giving me that opportunity. More

I brought my 2006 BMW330xi in for a minor issue- the tire pressure indicator had gone on. While my problem was quickly fixed, unfortunately the guy pulling my car around ran into another customer's car and pressure indicator had gone on. Scott immediately came out to express his apologies and to ensure that my car would be fixed immediately. He asked me to let him know when I wanted to drop off the car and he had a rental waiting for me. Over the weekend, before I dropped the car off, I was again unfortunate and another car side-swiped me while I was parked. Scott worked with me to get all of the work done immediately after the other driver's insurance company accepted liability. He even made sure that several other dings and scratches that had nothing to do with either incident were fixed as well. He kept in constant communication and his service was absolutely amazing. I just picked up my car and it looks amazing- fully detailed and almost like new. I understand that sometimes stuff happens. But it's what you do in those sutuations that truly defines what you are as a service organization. Thanks to Scott's handling of this situation I truly feel as though Herb Chambers BMW is the gold standard for customer service in the industry. Thanks! More

For instance, my name is remembered, rides are offered, updates provided without asking, and courtesy is the standard operating procedure. Service Manager, Mark Ravin, is an absolute joy to work with, handling the smallest detail with the same positive attitude as any larger repair issues. Mark takes the time to explain options in language you can understand and most importantly respects both your time and your wallet. You are in good hands here. More

My family and I were on vacation . While driving to Massachusetts, the GPS indicated a DVD error message. The navigation system was not working. So I contacted the BMW 24 Hr. Roadside Assistance. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and gave me very detailed directions to the nearest BMW service center, Herbs Chambers. From the moment we arrived, the service advisor and staff were very professional and courteous. They promptly attended our problem. While we waited for our car, I walked over to the auto showroom. I was greeted by a friendly sales associate. He showed me around, and we talked about the upcoming 5 series sedan. In a matter of minutes, my navigation system was working with a new navigational DVD. They also replaced the out tail light bulb for me. Our experience with Herb Chambers was a pleasure. This all happened on a Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, if we didn't have our GPS working, the outcome of our vacation would have been quite different. Thank you Dan and staff. I recently was in a minor car accident on a Saturday. I had many things to do, as I was making a birthday party for my wife that night. I called BMW to say I was bringing the car in and that I needed a lo had many things to do, as I was making a birthday party for my wife that night. She saw my distress, gave me a hug and had them give me a loaner, and I was on my way in 10 minutes. She has always been there for me. This is my 3rd BMW with Herb Chambers and will never go anywhere else. More

I recently experienced a flat tire on my way from Boston to NY on a Saturday.. My 2009 650i has run flats. I had 100 mile to go to get to NY and then a 250 mile return trip. I called Mellisa Steffi and she sent a mechanic, with tire & rim, to my location in NY on Sunday morning. This allowed to attend the Memorial Service I traveled to NY for and return to Boston, Sunday evening, and make a business trip Monday morning. A few years ago I brought my old '99 323i here for repairs and it turned out there were quite a few problems that needed addressing. At the time I was pretty strapped for cash so the service guy prio repairs and it turned out there were quite a few problems that needed addressing. At the time I was pretty strapped for cash so the service guy prioritized the repairs and told me which were immediate and which could wait a while. I went for only the necessary repairs and when it came time to pay I learned they didn't accept Discover card which was the only card I had credit available on at the time. They were very, very understanding and agreed to store the car for me free of charge until I came back to pay. Took me about a week or so to scrape together the ~$1800 I needed, got my car back all cleaned up and in good running condition. I just bought a new car and will definitely use Herb Chambers for repairs. More

I would never go back there for my car service. After they service my BMW, the functions which were working before the service did not work. I went back to complain. They said that you can bring back t they service my BMW, the functions which were working before the service did not work. I went back to complain. They said that you can bring back the car for service, and it will cost you. This seems like the way they do business. They break something, they ask people to bring back the car, so they get more business. More

So awful I don't even know where to start. I was ignored for 25 minutes while repeated asking an employee for some service ("I'll get someone right away" he kept telling me). Out of this world pricing (bring your own Vasaline because they will definitely charge you for using theirs). Took forever to fix a minor problem with my car. Less than 2 weeks later the "check engine" light came back on after a $1300 bill. Complete dirtbags!!!!! Avoid this place! Try Foreign West instead. More

this guy was extremely rude to the man in front of me, waiting to get his car fixed. Quote, "I don't have a magic wand to just fix your car". At this point, I realized this was likely to be a difficult waiting to get his car fixed. Quote, "I don't have a magic wand to just fix your car". Besides the fact that this guy called me an sshole, gave me the finger, and basically acted like a third grader, to make it worse, he stated they couldn't fix my car and I'd have to go somewhere else. I'm not sure what the standard is for a BMW dealership, but I can tell you, Jim Miscioscia and Herb Chambers BMW of Boston are pretty awful. More
