My exper I would recommend this dealership wholeheartedly to anyone! So far I've purchased 3 cars from this dealership, and will continue to do so. My experiences have been consistently positive, far superior to similarly ranked dealerships in the Boston area. Herb Chambers understands the necessity to provide the 'extras' required in order to sell a luxury product. Mainly, focusing on outstanding customer service. The service dept. staff are exceptional. For instance, my name is remembered, rides are offered, updates provided without asking, and courtesy is the standard operating procedure. Service Manager, Mark Ravin, is an absolute joy to work with, handling the smallest detail with the same positive attitude as any larger repair issues. Mark takes the time to explain options in language you can understand and most importantly respects both your time and your wallet. You are in good hands here. More
My family and I were on vacation . While driving to Massachusetts, the GPS indicated a DVD error message. The navigation system was not working. So I contacted the BMW 24 Hr. Roadside Assistance. The Massachusetts, the GPS indicated a DVD error message. The navigation system was not working. So I contacted the BMW 24 Hr. Roadside Assistance. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and gave me very detailed directions to the nearest BMW service center, Herbs Chambers. From the moment we arrived, the service advisor and staff were very professional and courteous. They promptly attended our problem. While we waited for our car, I walked over to the auto showroom. I was greeted by a friendly sales associate. He showed me around, and we talked about the upcoming 5 series sedan. In a matter of minutes, my navigation system was working with a new navigational DVD. They also replaced the out tail light bulb for me. Our experience with Herb Chambers was a pleasure. This all happened on a Sunday afternoon. Needless to say, if we didn't have our GPS working, the outcome of our vacation would have been quite different. Thank you Dan and staff. With much appreciation, Karen More
I recently was in a minor car accident on a Saturday. I had many things to do, as I was making a birthday party for my wife that night. I called BMW to say I was bringing the car in and that I needed a loaner car. they said there were none, but I brought the car in anyway, as I needed a tire and rim. I saw Melissa when I got there. She saw my distress, gave me a hug and had them give me a loaner, and I was on my way in 10 minutes. She has always been there for me. This is my 3rd BMW with Herb Chambers and will never go anywhere else. More
I recently experienced a flat tire on my way from Boston to NY on a Saturday.. My 2009 650i has run flats. I had 100 mile to go to get to NY and then a 250 mile return trip. BMW Assist was of NO Assistan to NY on a Saturday.. My 2009 650i has run flats. I had 100 mile to go to get to NY and then a 250 mile return trip. BMW Assist was of NO Assistance! I called Mellisa Steffi and she sent a mechanic, with tire & rim, to my location in NY on Sunday morning. This allowed to attend the Memorial Service I traveled to NY for and return to Boston, Sunday evening, and make a business trip Monday morning. AS I have said, I truly value this type of Customer Service and "You Have My Business for Life"!! Thank you again, Harry J. Moraitis. More
A few years ago I brought my old '99 323i here for repairs and it turned out there were quite a few problems that needed addressing. At the time I was pretty strapped for cash so the service guy prio repairs and it turned out there were quite a few problems that needed addressing. At the time I was pretty strapped for cash so the service guy prioritized the repairs and told me which were immediate and which could wait a while. I went for only the necessary repairs and when it came time to pay I learned they didn't accept Discover card which was the only card I had credit available on at the time. They were very, very understanding and agreed to store the car for me free of charge until I came back to pay. Took me about a week or so to scrape together the ~$1800 I needed, got my car back all cleaned up and in good running condition. I just bought a new car and will definitely use Herb Chambers for repairs. More
I would never go back there for my car service. After they service my BMW, the functions which were working before the service did not work. I went back to complain. They said that you can bring back t they service my BMW, the functions which were working before the service did not work. I went back to complain. They said that you can bring back the car for service, and it will cost you. This seems like the way they do business. They break something, they ask people to bring back the car, so they get more business. More
So awful I don't even know where to start. (Most of the people on this page giving positive reviews must work for Herb Chambers) It's bad when you walk into a place for service and you see a service writer people on this page giving positive reviews must work for Herb Chambers) It's bad when you walk into a place for service and you see a service writer and an irrate customer arguing. I was ignored for 25 minutes while repeated asking an employee for some service ("I'll get someone right away" he kept telling me). Out of this world pricing (bring your own Vasaline because they will definitely charge you for using theirs). Took forever to fix a minor problem with my car. Less than 2 weeks later the "check engine" light came back on after a $1300 bill. Complete dirtbags!!!!! Avoid this place! Try Foreign West instead. More
this guy was extremely rude to the man in front of me, waiting to get his car fixed. Quote, "I don't have a magic wand to just fix your car". At this point, I realized this was likely to be a difficult waiting to get his car fixed. Quote, "I don't have a magic wand to just fix your car". At this point, I realized this was likely to be a difficult experience. But I never imagined that it would get as bad as it did. Besides the fact that this guy called me an sshole, gave me the finger, and basically acted like a third grader, to make it worse, he stated they couldn't fix my car and I'd have to go somewhere else. I'm not sure what the standard is for a BMW dealership, but I can tell you, Jim Miscioscia and Herb Chambers BMW of Boston are pretty awful. More
They blew my GPS while trying to resolve an electrical issue and blamed it on my alledged "aftermarket" modifications. BMW N/A, after looking into the issue, covered my expenses. Never go to this dealer or their others in their network (Foreign Motors West was bought last summer). I was reluctant to bring my car here for service because I was convinced their service techs were moron (Foreign Motors West was bought last summer). I was reluctant to bring my car here for service because I was convinced their service techs were morons - they cracked my hardtop by over tightening it when I brought it in for rattling and fitment issues - they made the problem worse and never owned up to it...charged me $150 to boot. Recently, I took my 2nd BMW with a factory warranty in for a battery drain issue. Service technicians did not even bother to diagnose the problem. They said "just a weak battery" and that it needs a trickle charge. Kept me waiting 1:30 in the waiting area only to tell me they'd need to keep it overnight. Received it back the next day only to have it completely drain in two days. Scheduled another visit, this time they keep my car overnight without even a courtesy call during the day to tell me that the car wouldn't be ready. I had to page and war-dial the svc advisor to get his a$$ on the phone. When I ask, "Sooo...i'm going to assume I won't have my car back today", he says rather curtly, "Your car's not ready." What a d0uche. The next day, the service advisor (he's an asst Service Mgr) called me and accused me of installing aftermarket parts (previous owner installed a subwoofer but did not remove wire on trade-in) and threatened to redflag my vehicle to void its warranty. On top of that, he says he will charge me 4-hrs diagnosis labor charge. I argued with him about his attitude and tone and that he should be careful who he accuses of doing anything. He counters with "Are you a BMW technician? Are you certified to work on BMWs? No...that's what I thought." Then he adds later "go take your car some place else". The stupid pr!ck calls that customer service?! He changed his tune when I rushed down there to face him in person. He then whispers to me that he usually tells customers who put on "custom mufflers to take them off before they bring them in." What the hell do I look like? A SEMA show racer boy customizer? By this time, i'm livid and demand he release my car. Never have I experienced a more unpleasant service appointment...ever. I won't go into how bad their sales guys are, but others have echoed the "if you're not a young middle eastern BU student and pay with a briefcase of cash" then you're SOL in terms of getting any attention or fair deal from them. I ended up taking my car to BMW Gallery of Norwood. They went the extra mile and actually diagnosed the problem, explained what they did during the diagnosis, called regularly with updates, and was genuinely helpful. They found the problem, informed me that the subwoofer wire was no issue at all, and offered a loaner on the next visit. Don't bother with those idiots at Herb Chambers BMW of Boston. I live only 1 mile from them, but I'll go 15 miles out of my way to take it to a dealer who actually corrects a problem and offers good customer service. More
