Deligent Maintenance Serviice The maintenance department at Burlington Honda has been consistently thorough over the years in their customer care for all four of my Honda Accord L The maintenance department at Burlington Honda has been consistently thorough over the years in their customer care for all four of my Honda Accord LX sedans. During my most recent visit for a 2-A maintenance on my ten-year old Honda (still with its original equipment), the technician went beyond the particulars of the maintenance schedule to notice that the steel bolts which fasten the catalytic converter to the exhaust pipe were rusted and ripe for replacement. They also noticed that this car was two days past due for State Inspection. They took the trouble to show me the problem in detail and what should be done. Did Not Deliver I test drove a 2011 "Herb Chambers Certified" Honda Pilot, and really liked the vehicle, except for many scratches to the paint. When I pointed these I test drove a 2011 "Herb Chambers Certified" Honda Pilot, and really liked the vehicle, except for many scratches to the paint. When I pointed these out to the salesman, he assured me they would be addressed. So, my wife and I proceeded to buy the vehicle, with financing arranged through the dealership. On the day we went to pick up the vehicle, the scratches had not been addressed, except for a couple that had been touched up with a brush and looked totally amateurish. When I pointed this out to the salesperson, he called the manager who said that to address the scratches would mean the vehicle would have to be repainted and there was no way they would do that. So, I said we did not want the vehicle. They assured me they would take care of everything and find me another suitable vehicle (but I opted for my second choice at another dealership). I had to repeatedly follow-up with the dealership, involving the general manager, before my wife and I were provided the necessary paperwork to unwind the deal. What a disappointment. A little over a month later, I got a statement from the lender showing the entire loan balance outstanding and asking for my first payment. This payment was for the vehicle we had refused to buy and had never driven off of the lot. I called the dealership. The sales manager told me not to pay it, and he would look into it and get back to me. Over a week later, I have still not heard from the dealership. I personally contacted the lender and learned that the dealership had in fact returned the loan proceeds to the lender and that I would not be required to pay on the loan, which was a relief. But, I think Herb Chambers should have lived up to their promises: first to satisfactorily address the scratches on the vehicle, and failing that, to make sure that everything about the deal was cancelled. That I never heard back about the loan statement was egregious. I will not go back. More
Oil Leak I brought my car in because oil was burning somewhere on the car. They fixed the issue and while I was there they replaced my break pads which were v I brought my car in because oil was burning somewhere on the car. They fixed the issue and while I was there they replaced my break pads which were very low. I was expecting to pay a fortune for all of this but shockingly it was a lot less than what I budgeted. The waiting area was perfect for me to get work done. Overall a great experience and as always John Silva made sure I was taken care of. More
