5 stars to sales (Stan Otoo-Genesis) 3 stars to Finance dept The positives: Stan Otoo-Genesis, I've worked with him twice now, he sold me my 2015 Veloster Turbo, which I traded in just recently for a 2019 Kona U The positives: Stan Otoo-Genesis, I've worked with him twice now, he sold me my 2015 Veloster Turbo, which I traded in just recently for a 2019 Kona Ultimate, both purchases handled by Stan. I feel like he is genuinely trying to get me a fair price and not up sell me on things, can't say the same for Finance (will get to that below in the negatives). During the 4 year span he always recognized me whenever I was in for service, which is nice, considering in 4 years he has probably seen hundreds or thousands of faces in and out. Btw Stan has a ton of employee awards on his desk, clearly he sells a lot of cars. The negatives; they charge in my opinion way too high of a doc processing fee (the cost to prepare the paperwork), MA doesn't cap this fee this by law, but the median documentation fee cost in 2018 was $395 in MA, you can find this info online, they charged me $459, do I think almost $500 worth of paperwork was needed to be prepared during the entire purchasing process? No, I don't think so, total mark up there. If I had known I would have negotiated further to have this fee offset in the purchase price but I didn't catch this until after the purchase, equally my fault for not combing through the paper work line item to line item. Another thing I don't like, and I don't know if this is something encouraged by management or finance, but they really push you to purchase a la carte extras for your vehicle (warranties, gap insurance, etc), not by the salesmen, no this is pushed on you by finance when you've agreed to make a purchase (same happened to me when I bought the Veloster in 2015). These extras must be high margin for them. For example they try to push a Simonix protective coating on you, it is even mislabeled as "Standard" on the ipad menu they display all these extras on, it is not "Standard" you have to pay extra for it, it adds to your total monthly payments. This is misleading, and they will not let you know you can opt-out of these extras unless you directly ask them. If you are like most people and are just interested in the car, nothing more, I suggest you tell them to skip this and get right to discussing the line items of the purchase. I also think they direct you to a preferred lender, you can take a guess why, because the APR I got is pretty high almost 5%, I know I can get closer to 3% when I refinance, something I will be doing ASAP. More

Awesome again. Back on March 11th, I visited this dealership for the second time. The first time was 14 years ago when I had bought my 2005 Santa Fe from Marty Reard Back on March 11th, I visited this dealership for the second time. The first time was 14 years ago when I had bought my 2005 Santa Fe from Marty Reardon. It was the best choice I had made. Now back to hte 11th. I had been going to work that morning and hit a patch of black ice which totaled my beloved Santa Fe. Two weeks shy of having it 14 years and with only 59,600 miles. A couple of hours later after I had rested up a bit, I drove out to Herb Chambers Hyundai and asked for Marty. I was just planning on looking for now, and then try out a couple of other manufacturers SUV's. After I test drove a 2019 Santa Fe, I told Marty "the xxxx with the other makes". This new vehicle was everything that I was looking for. Great ride and comfort. Had just the right amount of amenities as I needed. After the test drive, I then told him that I loved this new vehicle (2019 Santa Fe SEL) and I did want it. Everything was gone over that afternoon (financing, etc.) and I took delivery the afternoon of the 18th. Not the most helpful General Manager I reticently had the displeasure of buying a car from Her Chambers Hyundai of Auburn. I had some issues after the sale and it took almost 4 weeks to r I reticently had the displeasure of buying a car from Her Chambers Hyundai of Auburn. I had some issues after the sale and it took almost 4 weeks to resolve. The sales man, sales manager and general manager all made me felt like they couldn't be bothered to help me resolve the issue. It wasn't until I contacted Herb Chambers home office and Hyundai corporate office that the matter got resolved. It was a very frustrating 4 weeks and all they offered me for my trouble was a free oil change. Really? I will never do business with any of the Heb Chambers dealerships again. Oh and the finance manager lied to me telling me that I had to keep my loan with Hyundai finance for at least 3 months or they would charge me back for the rebates I received. According to Hyundai finance this was not true. The dealership lied about this so they would get a kickback on the astronomical high interest rate they made me take as a loan on this car. More
The reason I bought another car from Herb Chambers I had a horrible buying experience at Herb Chambers of Millbury and swore I would never buy another vehicle from them.
