On March 8, it is Saturday, I send a message to this dealership on AutoTrader to check if the car I interested in was still available around 10 o'clock. Sara contacted me immediately and told me that the car, a used 2013 MINI Countryman, is still available. So I drove there with my girlfriend and Sara came out to greet us. She was very nice to us and asked us if we would like to have some ice-cream. Then she introduced us Josh Phillips who is the actual person to deal with us. After a quick talk, he got me the car from the company's parking lot a couple of blocks away from the dealership, then he called us to go down stairs and then he presented me lots of functions the car equipped. It is a blazing red Countryman, looks very nice and sharp. In additional, he introduced us the basic information of the 2013 MINI Countryman. Then, we decide to take a test drive. Josh answered every question in details during we taking the test drive. My girlfriend and I both like the car and decide to buy it. So we negotiated a little bit with Josh and he offered us a set to rubber floor mats and a lovely gym bag for my girlfriend. Since we wanted to finance the car, so we spent like 1 hour to wait the finance work done. After we were approved, we went to meet Rob Gale who is the Business Manager to sign the paperwork and the contract. He is very efficient and did a very good job to guided us viewing through all the paperworks together. Within just 3 hours, we bought a car from this dealership, we were happy and they were happy. After I got my car insurance, on March 11, I drove back my car from the dealership. Since I heard too many lies and was treated very rudely from other dealerships while I was in the market to looking for a car, I really and strongly recommend this dealership. More
If I'd ever seen an email sig file from a car dealer which stated "We Don't Sell Cars, We Help People Buy Them." before I worked with Luigi and the folks at Herb Chambers Mini in Boston, I'd have rolled which stated "We Don't Sell Cars, We Help People Buy Them." before I worked with Luigi and the folks at Herb Chambers Mini in Boston, I'd have rolled my eyes in disbelief but that's exactly the experience I had. I went in during a national Mini event to register for an incentive voucher with absolutely no idea I'd be able to buy a car. After all, I'd been working for about six months to locate the Mini model I wanted with the amenities I desired, worked with several other dealerships, been frustrated by run-arounds from other salesmen and had almost given up the idea of buying a Mini at all. When I showed up to the dealership, though, Katie and Luigi had worked to find several cars which met my needs and wants. It was like sitting around with a friend, spit-balling ideas and coming up with a dream car except the staff at Herb Chambers Mini made the car materialize even though it required shipping from several states away. During the process, the entire crew were available to answer any questions I had and any issues which arose they handled with ease. I never felt like an inconvenience and I never felt like I was being sold a car. Luigi's ease and confidence made it seem like he was simply there to make the transaction as easy as possible. My schedule is hectic and the only day I was able to take delivery of the car was his day off but Luigi came in to make sure everything went smoothly and see me off in my new car. In the week and a half since I've had the car, he's emailed several times to see if I had any additional questions or needed help with anything. More
How do you thank something like a car dealership, especially one that went beyond the call of duty on your behalf? My wife’s 2009 Mini blew three values over a 19 month period and since it was no longer on warranty, we were faced with significant repair bills. The Herb Chambers Mini of Boston Sales, Service and Management teams worked on our behalf with Mini Corporate so we never saw those bills. Finally, after the third valve blew, the Herb Chambers people put a deal together to get my wife a brand new 2013 Mini paying less per month than we were paying before. My wife and I have been doing our homework in search of a used Mini Cooper. On Sat we found a car advertised on the web site in our price range and listed with the extended 5 year, 100,000 “mini next certification”. We called and made an appointment to come in and see the car at 4;30 that day. 2 hours later someone calls from the dealership to confirm the appt. and I ask about the extended warranty, she puts me on hold …I wait….. then hang up. A little later someone calls and says that car does not have the coverage that is advertised . I said I was looking at the site and the car at that moment and it said it does! “ Well we made a mistake, it doesn’t I’m sorry .Is there anything else we can do for you”? I am fuming and hang up. No one calls back to follow up or apologize. But…. I want an extended warranty vehicle so the next day I go on the site and look for one. The car I was looking at the day before has been taken down , but here is another car with the mini next warranty! So….. I call the same dealership and the salesperson says he had heard what had happened the day before and he is sorry too!’ But this is definitely a mini certified car, I guarantee it’! Well, is it automatic? Yes, but it is not listed Is it the cold weather package? Yes, but it is not listed It is even the premiere package, but it is not listed Ok, I will be there Wed at 6:30 with my wife to drive the car. Are you sure it is a certified car ? Yes , I guarantee it! Wed. morning I call the dealership to confirm my appt, the women confirms my appt. and even says let me check to make sure that car (that I have made an appointment to drive ) is still available. .Yes, it is ! Aren’t you lucky! Wed. afternoon I stop in to the house before I leave for Boston for my scheduled and confirmed appointment and there is a message from my sales person asking me to give him a call for an “update on the car” . I call and he said the car he was going to pull out from storage and have ready for me when I got there was sold last night , is there anything else I can do for you? I said I had an appt. to see that car! I confirmed the appt . this morning!. The women told me the car was still available! I ask to speak to the sales manager and it is the same women who spoke with me Sunday. She said, I remember speaking with you Sunday and asking if there was anything else I could do for you. I said that was the first time you screwed me over, what about this time? She said the car was just listed last night, I said saw it on the internet 3 days ago when I made the appt! Let me speak to a manager. The manager of internet sales (or something like that) gets on the phone and I explain both stories. He listens and then recites the mantra. I am sorry, is there anything else I can do for you? Let me look up the car(s) you were interested in so I have an idea of what you are looking for. He brings up the car I had an appointment to see and….. wait for it ………..it is NOT a pre certified mini next car. “ We made a mistake” . Is there anything else I can do for you? Yes , you can find me car a car that is actually the same as you advertise it and you can honor your commitment when you say that the car will be there when I come to drive it. We agreed to a more than fair number for my present vehicle & we also agreed upon a fair number off of sticker towards the new Mini. Luigi was terrific despite our coming on on a very understaffed Sunday. Got a great deal on our trade-in (also a Mini). This is the FOURTH car we've bought here, so our satisfaction with them is no jo understaffed Sunday. Got a great deal on our trade-in (also a Mini).
