When I arrived at Bel Air Honda, I was greeted by Mike. He was very friendly and welcoming. I was looking for a vehicle that was not in stock, so he convinced me to get another. I was not given all of the color options available in this new vehicle because I would've chosen a different color. My biggest issues with him is when I ask specific questions he answered them vaguely and once it was rather misleading. My reason for giving such lower ratings was when they tried to finance my loan. I came in pre-approved by my bank and they tried to get a better rate. They initially did obtain a lower rate but the business manager, Rick, called back a few days later trying to increase the percentage by 2% AFTER I SIGNED A CONTRACT! It was totally outrageous! I explained that I was not signing any new financial documents and tried to cancel the deal. I felt almost harassed because Rick continuously called me to trying to get me to change the terms. I finally told Rick that I didn't want to do ANY financing through them and miraculously the initial agreement was approved! I also wrote a letter canceling the expensive Extended Warranty and have a feeling that I will have an issue with that too! My experience with Bel Air Honda was HORRIBLE! Other than the free oil change, I will never do business with them again! The games played at this dealership is worst than any sleazy used car salesman imaginable! Even if I got a good price on the vehicle, it was not worth it! With the level of unprofessionalism, I'm amazed they are still in business! I never had to remind someone before that I WAS A PAYING CUSTOMER! More
I could not have been more pleased with my new car buying experience at Bel Air Honda. Max was also extremely knowledgable and helpful in explaining all of the features and electronics on our new car to both myself and my wife and was generous with his time. Good sales experience. Salesman didn't try to get me to purchase items or options I hadn't already requested. When some of the items I did request were not on the vehicle at purchase he did quickly see to purchase items or options I hadn't already requested. My experience in the service/parts department was wonderful that is why a 5 -great rating was given. I was helped by Tom Fields who made sure that all my services were completed. It was a hassle-free process and I would definitely recommend Bel Air Honda. I initially worked with Brooke Manesh, their internet associate, to arrive at an agreed upon price. Brooke was a pleasure to recommend Bel Air Honda. I initially worked with Brooke Manesh, their internet associate, to arrive at an agreed upon price. Brooke was a pleasure to work with, and responds in a very timely manner. Upon arriving at the dealership, I worked with Michael Dowdy. I was apprehensive at first as I had already had a written agreement with Brooke, and was concerned that Mike would not honor the numbers. As it turns out, Mike just took Brooke's documentation and processed everything based off that. There were no hidden fees or surprises. The only extra I had to pay were dealer installed accessories (splash guards, wheel locks, nitrogen air) that were already installed so there was no getting around that. I had noticed as well that all dealers seem to do this to all their cars as an added "feature" (i.e. extra profit). The price I got was very good though so I didn't mind. The whole process was lengthy (2.5 hours) but dealing with Mike was a stress-free experience and at no time did I feel that I was being taken advantage of. I have a very negative view of car dealerships but Bel Air Honda definitely has made me reconsider that view. Thanks again to Mike and Brooke, the car is great! More
I call, I get the runaround--told once that "the guys were all busy making deals at the end of the month, so no one would return (my) call." If you pick up your car and the right service person isn't there, no car. If you pick up your when open, but after service hours, tough. If you see "Chat available now," you may find, as I did, that you send a message and wait for the reply, but don't get one--the chat person left, which you find out when you write again to find out what happened. I was lucky once, though; a mechanic ran around the place and found my car keys. Too bad such a good car doesn't have a better representative in Harford County. More
