I was incredibly happy with the deal I got for my 2011 Sienna SE from Russel Toyota. I checked TrueCar, Edmunds.com and various other car buying sites. Russel had the minivan I wanted in stock and it was the best deal I could find in the Washington/Baltimore area. My sales associate, Brad Jones, was very responsive and helpful. I contacted Brad via email and we negotiated the price for the minivan over the internet. The closing was quick, painless and no surprises. Brad outlined all the costs that I was expected to pay before I arrived at the dealership and they didn't try to cram any hidden fees into my deal. Russel Toyota tried to match the financing I got from my credit union but couldn't so they didn't push it. Overall, I am very happy with my experience and have recommended Brad to my friends and family. I would definitely buy another car from him. More

My first experience with Russel Toyota was with the parts department. I was in the middle of a brake job on my Sienna and found I needed to replace the caliper bracket. Next experience...Service My Sienna's air bag light came on. I had previously been dissatisfied with another Toyota service center in the Balto-Washington area. I thought I'd give Russel service a try. While in for the air-bag, i had them check the air condition and it was also time for a timing belt. The end result was complete satisfaction from the service writer (Dora),the loaner car, and quality of work. I even had an obscure question about a part which the mechanic researched and provided the info that I needed. I am particular about my vehicles, who works on them and the way I am treated. I'm from North Carolina and I had been searching for a very specific style and color of Toyota Tacoma for several weeks. I couldn't find what I was looking for at the Toyota dealerships near me in North C very specific style and color of Toyota Tacoma for several weeks. I couldn't find what I was looking for at the Toyota dealerships near me in North Carolina, so I broadened my search horizon and found exactly what I was looking for at several Toyota dealerships in the DC/Northern Virginia/Baltimore area. I put in several internet inquiries to different dealerships and was contacted by Cory, an internet sales rep at Russel Toyota. They had a phenomenal sale price for the truck listed on their website, so I was eager to speak with him. After several email exchanges, Cory and I agreed to a set "out the door" price that was within what I had budgeted for a new Tacoma. With my "out the door" price quote in hand I made the trek up to Baltimore to take a quick test drive of the Tacoma and finalize the sale. After agreeing to the price and signing some sales papers, I listened to a 10 minute sales pitch from another employee trying to get me to purchase some inane rust and paint protectant for the Tacoma. I politely declined and was then summoned to the business office to sign all the paperwork and finalize the sale. This is where the problems arose. They essentially tried to nickel and dime me in the business office by adding several hundred dollars in hidden fees (that had not been mentioned by Cory at any point) to the final price. Their final "out the door" price ended up being over 300 dollars more than what I was originally quoted by Cory. The finance manager, Jimmy, told me there was nothing he could do, and Cory had taken off for the rest of the day (which is sort of strange for a car salesman to do in the middle of a Saturday) so there was no way he could "fix the problem". Frustrated, I walked out and was able to get the same exact truck at Koons Tysons Toyota in Vienna, Virginia for 300 dollars cheaper than Russel's real out the door price. Do not waste your time playing games at Russel Toyota. Take your business to Koons Tysons Toyota!!! They are a no frills, no b-s dealership that does not use shady sales tactics like Russel Toyota. I dealt with one person, told him what I wanted and asked for price. I was given a price and able to confirm it was a good one! When I told them I would be picking the car up with my 11-year old, they did a great job of making her feel like the decisionmaker. All-in-all a truly nice experience, no gimmicks, gotchas, just plain old friendly folks! More

I met Karen Farina Service Operations Mgr when a hole was accidentally burned in my rear bumper - it was replaced. Pat, Karen & I became real close during the times (5) my engine light kept coming on. We finally came up with the winning solution. I always enjoy being greeted by Chuck when I drive in the Sevice bay. Mr Marvin was my service writer, but he just retired. I will team up with James "JR" Haley from now on. Last year this time, I got to drive a LOANER Venza. Boy did that make up my mind as to my next car purchase. I had been considering a Lexus RX or an Acura. But then I thought - if I did that I would have to leave MY TEAM behind. I decided to ship my 2003 Camry SE w/178000miles to my son Christopher in Portland, OR. I told him keep oil changed (Mobil One) and he would get another 100,000 miles. I told David Day what I wanted. that afternoon he let me know the ONLY Barcelona Red Venza, 6ccl fwd, double Moon Roof & Leather seats was in WVA. YES - get it. Dave & Karen went to Gen Sales Mgr Mat Bukoski - it was there next day. I signed the deal - pre Toyota mark-up - without even driving it. I am tickled PINK.
