I took my car here for an oil change and maintenance on 5/3/25. I waited for almost 2 hours and didn’t get an confirmation of multipoint inspection being complete, but they did try to upsell new filters an 5/3/25. Within DAYS of this appointment, I tried to honk my horn and it did not sound. I contacted Kevin Mullins, the same advisor as the oil change. He scheduled the appointment I requested for 5/21/25. When I arrived, I was told I had to drop off my car due to not only this safety issue (that is a known issue that Kia has extended the warranty for the Seltos model) but an additional recall that “suddenly appeared since my last appointment” and the part not being in. They paid for a rental for the weekend. I got the video of the multipoint inspection being done this second appointment. When I picked up my car, I noticed there was damage on the driver side rear door and rim. I contacted Kevin who said that he reviewed the photos he took, sees the damage was there before, and thinks I just missed it until after the wash. I had washed my car three days before the appointment, and this damage was not there. The rim damage looks like it happened at the beginning of the month when the tires were rotated. I asked for a copy of the photos from both appointments. He refused to send, advising me to come back in for a 3rd time to meet with a service manager. When I asked for a name or schedule for the manager, Kevin ignored all my subsequent messages. I thought by going through a major dealer I would get top quality service, but it seems as though they are only rushing through appointment based on the oil change, negligent with others property based on the damage and clear indication that something happened when it was in Kia’s possession, and unprofessional as their service advisors are not trained to properly address and escalate obvious issues. I would have expected a manager to reach out to me based on my obvious concerns, but instead I’m being asked to go out my way again to meet with an unnamed manager and get constant surveys asking me to rate my service. More
