I said, "I DON'T HAVE $800 so just replace the coil and sparkplugs for the $384, and call it a day!" NO other problems, services, or anything was mentioned in that call, and there were no other conversations or calls. When I picked up my car, the bill was over $800!!! Since no one called 911 after my near-heart attack, and both the service manager and the service guy who had called me (Bruce) were both already gone by 5:30, another guy finally showed up to read the bill and try to explain to me what they did. It turns out they also did a 90K mile checkup, to the tune of an extra $400, which was NEVER even mentioned on the phone, and I NEVER GAVE PERMISSION to do. (If they had, I would have said NO, because I had ALREADY HAD IT DONE at another Honda dealer out of state when I was away on a long trip.) They did not need to do the traction thing anyway, thankfully, but I had said NO to any additional work (beyond the $384) regardless. Amazingly, typed on my bill were also two lines at the bottom, one saying that I had ok'ed the whole thing, and another mention that I also had been told I needed new front brakes and tires, WHICH NOT A WORD WAS SAID TO ME ON THE PHONE. So not a word of truth there! The guy gave me a whopping 20% off the second $400 --- all smiles, but I was still angry. After leaving, the following week when I mentioned this episode to the new place I took the car for, to check the brakes and tires, he said, NO WONDER he was smiling.... What they did was ILLEGAL and had I complained higher up, or called BBB, I would have gotten the job probably for free. I had no idea what they did was illegal, but there wasn't anyone to complain to anyway after 5 pm. Now I know. What also ticks me off (in addition to their doing work without permission) was that I already had done the 90K checkup, and paid for it 2 months earlier! What a waste. Not going back there. More
High pressure sales. Price of contract kept changing. Back and forth from sales to "manager". High pressure to rate salesman well. Purchasing process went on way too long. Highly recommend this dealership for service. No experience with sales. Maintained my car here for about a year. Never had an issue. Bruce in service was always helpful, never made me get an appoint experience with sales. Maintained my car here for about a year. Never had an issue. Bruce in service was always helpful, never made me get an appointment, and always let me bring in my car over lunch. Very reasonable on price and had no problems with special requests (use own parts, return old parts, etc.). A+. If you have an older Acura I recommend bringing it here for regular service (oil change, transmission fluid, spark plugs, etc.) than going across the street to Acura. In addition, I found prices here to be competitive with independents when I used my own parts. More
I was in the market for a new Honda Civic, so I stopped in. I told the salesman that I was not ready to make a decision on a car that day, but would like to test drive one, since I would be buying very soo in. I told the salesman that I was not ready to make a decision on a car that day, but would like to test drive one, since I would be buying very soon. When pushed, I also told him that I was not willing to discuss price yet, as I had a bank that was willing to help me out with the negotiation. As soon as I said this, the salesman became very rude and antagonistic, assuming that would mean he would not get as big of a commission. He said he'd be right with a test car, and he disappeared for 10 minutes (at one point I saw him on the phone). Being very annoyed, my sister and I decided to leave (not once did a salesperson ask us if we were being helped). As we were walking out the door, our beloved salesman brushed right by us without even acknowledgins our presence. Avoid them. I can only assume that part of it was the fact that we were two young women. I think they were a little surprised that we didn't take their crap. More
